To Whom It May Concern:

Jacqueline Fuentes Quintero was my student during her 10 week psychiatric/mental health
nursing clinical rotation last semester. As a clinical instructor/lecturer with fifty years experience
in various psych nursing areas, I have a unique opportunity to become acquainted with my
students as individuals. Since they're learning to use their own personalities as a therapeutic
tool, I try to help them get to know themselves more in depth and as members of a team on our
4-unit inpatient facility. During our psych rotation, they also experience working with older
adults, pediatric therapy services, and intensive adult outpatient services. My goal for them is to
practice interpersonal relationship skills that can be generalized and applied to any nursing
endeavor they choose.

We are the University of Arizona College of Nursing hear such good things about the ever-
expanding, high quality of care at the Yuma Regional Medical Center. Now we are proud to
send you one of the best of our best new grads from our nationally rank BSN program - and a
very special person at that. Just review Jacky's resume. Although it is quite impressive -
Honor's College, Dean's List, WIN presentation, Sigma Theta Tau - you must interview her.
Here is one smart, poised, mature, and warm-hearted RN-to-be. The kind of inter-professional
health care provider who is a fine team member and an equally fine natural team leader.

Now the usual (but true) description of the strengths and attributes that Jacky will bring to your
organization: 1) a broad and in depth nursing knowledge base; 2) highly developed
technical/technology abilities; 3) excellent verbal/written communication skills and finally; 4) an
appreciation of the value of the continued application of evidenced-based nursing practice

Jacky is all about family, community, and the wide Hispanic cultural needs of the Yuma area.
Due to her unique blend of life and education experiences, resulting skill sets, and head/heart
combination, Jacky will quickly rise through your organization. Her ability to communicate with
patients, families, and her fellow team members in a clear, caring manner is her fort. Yuma is
so lucky that she wants to come home - don't take that for granted. Count your lucky stars!

Sincerely,

Susan Markovich, RN, MSN

Clinical Instructor
