10 Check that isolating valves of pressure switches, pressure gauges,
pressure transmitters and pressure differential indicators are open.
11 Check the GAT 3081 is already opened routing to Acid Gas Flare
when over pressure occur in the nitrogen primary gas system
12 Open the N2 valves supply in upstream as long as the valve has
been opened the nitrogen supply will flow in the N2 seal header.
13 Check the pressure in the line N2 header, the pressure will be
automatically setted by 330 PCV 5015. Check the pressure 330 PIT
5004 and 330 PIT 5005
14 Check the 330 PSE 5013 and 330 PSE 5014 is setted 130,5 psig
15 After the pressure on header has achieved secondary and tertiary
seal is ready
16 Check that the adjusting flow orifice valve in the primary vent lines
are fully open. This valve should be adjusted after first star-up to
give a low differential pressure. This valve should then be left set
position by locking open the valve.
17 Check that there is no oil in the compressor flushing chambers
tertiary seals, by opening their drain valve
18 Open manual valve downstream RO-3014 & RO-3015 so that the

compressor, electric motor, and gear box have not been run.
12 Trip circuit reset. These following trip circuit must be reset before
starting up unit:
a. PSLL1017 (Lube oil header low low pressure)
b. PSLL 4011 (N2 separator / secondary seal gas header pressure
low low)
c. PSHH 4004 or PSHH 4005 (Seal gas primary vent High High
pressure (trip with vent))
d. TSHH 1003A(Compressor discharge temperature High High)
The indication Ready to reset is activated on DCS/UCP HMI and
the operator can press the shutdown circuit reset command from
UCP HMI. After this operation indication Ready to reset is off.
The reset command is sent also to all Bently Nevada racks and to
the safety relay. Ifall the resets are successfully done, the
indication Trip circuit healthy is on. Once the safety relay is reset,
the anti-surge solenoid valve is energized, VSDS trip reset.
13 Compressor train pressurization. Compressor pressurization
allowed signal will be sent to DCS, provided the below sequence is
satisfied
a. Seal gas heater running and the temperature transmitter of
downstream seal gas heater doesnt indicate
b. Seal gas booster compressor is in running condition is become
permissive to start seal gas booster compressor. Then as long
as TSH 3035 has not been achieved seal gas booster
compressor may not be run).
c. Lube oil pumps must be in running condition.
d. Anti-surge valve is in fully open condition.
If above sequence is satisfied then only customers DCS is
allowed to do the pressurization of the compressor.

3 Check that main N2 Filter has the isolating valves open and the vent
drain valves closed
4 Check that stand-by N2 Filter has the isolating valves and drain
valve closed
5 Check that main Coalescer Modular Filter has the isolating valves
open and the vent and drain valves open
6 Check that stand-by Coalescer Modular Filter has the isolating
valves and drain valve closed.
7 Open the isolation valve of seal gas booster compressor
8 Start seal gas heater for element I and for element II. The auxiliary
element will be started by logic. This signal is also be used for Gas
booster compressor permissive start. Otherwise is used to be
permissive to seal gas booster compressor start-up (330-CM-1002).
9 While seal gas heater is on going to be started up the operator can
start also lube oil heater (330-H-4001) of course the lube oil has
been filled up to the reservoir. Detail of steps will be described in
lube oil preparation section.
10 Check that isolating valve on the primary vent lines are open.
11 Check that isolating valves of pressure switches, pressure gauges,
pressure transmitters and pressure differential indicators are open.
12 Open the N2 valve supply in upstream 330-Y-1003. As long as the
valve has been opened the nitrogen supply will flow in the N2 seal
header.
13 Check the pressure in the line N2 header, the pressure should be 4
kg/cm2g.
14 Check that the adjusting flow orifice valves in the primary vent
lines are fully open. This valve should be adjusted after start-up to
give a low differential pressure. This valve should then be left set
position by locking open the valve.
15 Check that there is no oil in the compressor flushing chambers
tertiary seals, by opening their drain valves
16 The next step is preparing secondary seal by pressing Open
command enabled from UCP HMI. Limit switch open is being
permissive to start main gas booster compressor so that as long as
this valve is still closed the gas booster compressor cannot be
started
17 Open manual valve downstream so that the N2 seal gas supply can
flow into secondary seal.
18 Pressure of secondary seal gas supply can be monitored, the value
should be a bit similar with N2 seal header.

permissive signal shall be satisfied first:
a. LSLL 5001 and LSLL 5002, lube oil reservoir level not low
b. XS-3181, MCC faulty healthy
Note:
Before starting the lube oil system is necessary to pressurize by
means of N2 the tertiary seals chamber situated between Dry
Mechanical and Bearings.
2 Before start the main oil pumps (330-P-5002), following
permissives condition has to be satisfied first:
a. TSLL 5023, lube oil temperature not low
b. LSL 5001 and LSL 5002, lube oil reservoir level not low
c. XS-3171, lube oil pump motor 330-PM-5002 fault feedback
healthy Oil temperature in reservoir can be monitored by
TT-3001. While oil level can be monitored by LG-3001 and
LT-3002 (low set alarm 207 mm).
3 Start the main lube oil pump (330-P-5002) by pressing start push
button in LCS whenever the starting selector position is in LCS or
