CONCLUSION/OBSERVATION

We have noticed in Part A that when the potentiometers

percentage of resistance decreases, the value of voltage drop across the
gate and supply terminals decreases. On the other hand, when the
potentiometers percentage of resistance increases, the value of voltage
drop across the gate and supply terminals increases. Therefore, the
percentage of potentiometers resistance is directly proportional to the
voltage drop across the gate and supply terminals. In our data, the values
from measured and calculated of saturation current have difference of
0.123 mA. Since in calculated value, we already underwent a rounding-off
of decimal places in the previous datum that is needed to calculate it. In
Part B, we observed that the value of voltage drop across gate and supply
terminals is a function of drain current since we need to assume a value of
drain current in order to plot a point and make a straight from it. We also
have gathered a little bit of difference in values from all of the data in
measured and calculated. Since in calculated value we need to plot the
points and graph it, then we took the horizontal and vertical values from the
intersection of the device curve and the network line; therefore, we cant
get the accurate value of the drain current and voltage drop across the gate
and supply. So it is in Part C, since we have rounded-off the values we get
from the gate voltage, hence, it has effect in plotting the points in the graph
so when getting the horizontal and vertical intersection of the network line
and device curve. All in all, our measured and calculated values are
approximately equal to each other and the percent difference of each data
is not more than 10%, therefore, we can assure that we have gathered the
right values.
