1. How have your values changed over the semester, if at all?

Overall, I still have the same beliefs and morals; the only thing that has
changed for me is that I am much more appreciative of what I have. I
understand more now how others values may not be the same as mine but
that theirs are also important.

2. How have your morals evolved over the semester, if at all?

My morals if anything have probably enhanced and I myself a more certain in


my beliefs. I have never changed my mind on what I believe but just
enhanced and became more knowledgeable on it.

3. Do you pay more attention to the news? Why or why not?

I do pay more attention to the news, there is so many things that are
happening around that I wasnt aware of before. It is very important to be
aware of your surroundings because what happens in the world does affect
all of us.

4. Do you see any dangers in which way the news is presented to us after
taking this course?

No I believe the news picks sides to inform the public on situation and they
always find a victim and a suspect. Its up to us, the public on how use the
information that is given.

5. Would you consider yourself a critical thinker? Do you assess things


differently now after

taking this course?

I have always thought of myself as a critical thinker. I adapt to situations and


use knowledge to make sense of something

6. Are you more aware of our individual differences and challenges after
discussing identity

and privilege?

Yes, after taking the privileged test I realized how privileged I really am I
didnt realize that having a computer or form of transportation would matter
to being privileged.
7. How much do you know and/or still rely on the Internet for information?
Are you more

cautious?

I would say I moderately use the internet to get information but I am


cautious about receiving certain information. I am aware the sites that are
not as reliable thanks to Humanities course for the graph that has all the
broadcasts.

8. Would you consider yourself a philosopher, a lover of wisdom and insight?

I consider myself a lover of wisdom and insight, just because I love to learn
and be knowledgeable of everything. I like that people can come to me for
advice and feel comfortable to share their personal life with me.

9. After taking this course, have you found new ideas, people, topics, etc.
that gives your life

more meaning?

Something that really struck me and has helped me more was knowing how
privileged I am because now I dont feel sorry for myself, I am grateful for the
things I have an have accomplished because most people dont get the same
opportunities. I am also more aware and understanding of others situations.

10. Are you still sleepwalking through life? Or are you awake a bit more?

I am definitely more awake; I am aware of my surroundings and I appreciate


life more now.

11. In what ways can thinking about your own death this semester impacted
the way you live?

Thinking that I may possibly not have the life expectancy that I thought I
would is very frightening. I would want to have all the time I could but that is
not realistic so every day I am happier about what I do have and what I can
do to be happier.

12. Do you have a better understanding of your purpose in life?

This is a tricky question I dont know what my purpose in life is yet, as of


today I am a daughter, aunt, and sister; other than that I am still finding
myself.

13. What are you most grateful for? Are you more grateful now in life?
I am very grateful for everything I have in my life especially my parents.
They are the most understanding and supportive people I have ever come to
know. I appreciate everything they have done to raise me and make me who
I am.

14. One of the best ways to make yourself happy is to make other people
happy. Have you

done that over the semester to make others happy, if anything?

I try to do that every day, just knowing that a friend is sad or someone in my
family I try to make them laugh, even if it is just for a moment.

15. How much of your happiness depends on how good things are going with

Work/Career/School? Why? Has it stayed the same or changed over the


semester?

My happiness depends entirely on school and work because it is part of half


of my life. I am taking on higher education and I want to do well on my
classes to be able to apply for a job that I will love.

16. Overall, what have your learned from this course, if anything?

I have learned that not everyone is privileged in many ways. We should not
judge a book by its cover and be respectful of all religions, races and morals.

17. What was your favorite topic discussed this semester?

My favorite would be privilege and identity but it is also the one I related to
the most.

18. What was your least topic discussed this semester?

Death, it was so depressing and hard to discuss because everyone brought


their own personal experiences into and memories that they have dealt with.

19. What final insight or message did you take from this course?

Humanities is a class based on all on humans there is no superior races and


we should all be treated equal wherever we may come from.

20. Any personal message to me as the instructor?

Teaching is great, I thank you for teaching this course and I had a great
time.
