a. Describe your persona or role as the author of the letter:
I am writing as the patient in the case study, Charlene. I am writing to the Dr. Foran and administration to ask for a change in patients diagnostics and the quality of care patients receiving affordable health care are subject to. b. Your audience (your reader) is: Dr. James Foran and administration. c. You want your audience to: I want my audience to support me during proposal to find a common ground on the issue of health care diagnostics and the gap of coherency by patients.
For each of the following questions, give as many answers as you can.
1. How would your audience describe itself?
Recipients of the affordable health care act. The audience often relies on neighborhood clinics for medical assistance. The audience is lower income, and therefore do not have access to the same health providers and clinics that many other Americans have.
2. What does your audience value?
My audience values thorough education on their diagnosis by health practitioners. They value resources to help them further understand and create a plan to live healthier lives.
3. What does this audience fear and/or risk losing?
The audience doesnt necessarily risk losing anything. They gain better knowledge on diagnostics and the ability to find information that is specifically related to their issues so they can further assist themselves on how to properly care for their conditions.
4. Describe your audiences attitude to the subject of discussion.
The audience is very receptive to this subject. Many patients often leave clinics without a clear understanding of their diagnosis and either continue to be misinformed or have to look to other people/resources for answers to their questions and concerns. 5. Why might your audience be opposed to your position/proposal or be reluctant to see things from your point of view? Can you explain how he/she/they might feel threatened, on some fundamental level, by your position/proposal? Some members of the audience might feel reluctant to offering a solution to this issue because they might feel that it will jeopardize the quality of health care they receive.
