If selling pre-
1. With pattern attached to main mask, use a permanent 1.
marker/laundry marker to draw eye holes on. Now fold
the main mask at the eye, and snip into the eye shape.
You can now get your scissors in to cut out the eye hole.
2. Trace the line for the top of the nose and the nostrils in the
same way. Take off the pattern, and cut along the marked
lines. Turn these lines to the wrong side when sewing.

3. Fold the muzzle with wrong sides together along one v attached.
shaped slit, matching edges. Oversew/whipstitch closed
with grey thread. Repeat for all slits on muzzle piece.

4. Starting from the centre, oversew the nose piece first to the
nostril side of the main mask. Then, going back to the
centre, sew the other nostril side to the nose piece. Return-
ing to the centre, now oversew the top section of the nose
piece.
5. Push this section with your fingers so that it makes a
step Trace the nose line and nostrils onto fel
and cut out.

Sew v shaped slits together around Oversew nose piece from centre out, Push nose out to sit the right way for
muzzle. with matching thread. the finished mask.

If selling pre-
1. Pin eye surround on main mask. With grey thread, 1.
back stitch around the eye hole. Then, beginning at
the nose and stitching around the bottom of the eye
surround, back stitch around the bottom of the eye
surround.
2. Once you get to the outside corner, begin placing a
small amount of stuffing in behind the eye surround.
Only stuff under the eye to the centre of the eye hole. Stitch around the eye surround.
As you continue sewing around the eye surround,
continue placing small amounts of stuffing behind
the surround. 2.
3. Once you have reached the nose side of your eye
surround, back stitch as shown on the pattern, from
the nose corner of the eye hole. Stitch through the
middle of the eye surround.
3. TOP TIP:
For sewing the centre of
the eye surround, draw a
light line in lead pencil,
as every wobble in this
line tends to show!
Pin nose to muzzle and sew in place
with black thread and running stitch.

1. Pin the muzzle so that there is a 1/8 (.5cm) overlap at 1.

1. Measure around the back of the childs head from out- 1.
side corner of one eye to the outside corner of the other.
Cut hat elastic to this length. If the child is not available
to measure, 13 (33cm) usually fits a small child/toddler
and 17 1/2 (44.5cm) fits a small adult head.
