Informative Speech Outline Final

Specific Goal: My audience will learn how the game of baseball is played as well as the dynamics behind the
game.

Application: If someone were to want to play a game of baseball then my presentation outline is a gain for
them.
Ethos: Primary Ethos: I have played baseball since I was 3 years old and ranged from city league,
accelerated and Allstars and learning new things about the game throughout the years.
Secondary Ethos: I will cite __3__ references out loud in my speech. NOTE: A minimum of three
scholarly (expert) references are required.
Pathos: Many Americans share the same passion for baseball as I do.
Logos: The rules of baseball are outlined and updated by the MLB for 2017 on NSSSA.
Audience Assessment: That baseball is a widely-known sport that people love to watch and play.
Adaptation to Audience: Through the use of diagrams and pictures and my knowledge of the game will
helper me better communicate with my audience.

I. Hook: As soon as I hear that sound of the bat crack, I know where the ball is going. Its
reaction time. Adrenaline is pumping, blood is rushing and you have one goal. Its to get
to that base.

II. Thesis: I played baseball since I was 3 and the love for this game is a love that I dont hold
alone.

Transition: I played baseball since I was 3 and I have always had a huge passion for it which is why I
chose to do my presentation on it.
