6-1 Battery Service The service life of the DRX-Revolutions lead acid
Life batteries is significantly reduced if they are deeply
discharged multiple times, or left in a partially charged
state for extended periods of time.
If you limit the depth of discharge and keep the
batteries fully charged whenever possible, it will maxi-
mize battery life.
To keep the batteries fully charged, plug the system
into a live AC circuit and place the AC circuit breaker
in the On position after every use.
Plug the system in whenever it is not in use for more
than 10 minutes. The system may be left plugged in
indefinitely.
If the unit will not be used fro more than two hours,
and it is not possible to plug it in, first fully charge the
system, then shut the system down. This will preserve
the battery charge and extend the battery life.
If the DRX-Revolution system will be stored for more
than 30 days and not charged during this time, contact
your authorized Service representative for storage
instructions.

64 System Mainte-
nance Caution
Do not attempt mechanical or electrical repair of the
System. Contact your authorized Carestream Service
Representative if any unit does not perform to your
satisfaction.
Avoid safety risks, performance issues, and unplanned
down time with regularly scheduled inspection, calibra-
tion, and maintenance checks. The equipment must be
maintained in good operating order at all times to provide
safe conditions for operating personnel and patients. It
must also be maintained to prevent possible loss of
patient or image data. To ensure continued safe perfor-
mance of X-ray equipment, it is the owners responsibility
to ensure that maintenance is performed per the schedule
below. The System must be serviced and repaired only by
your authorized Carestream Service Representative.
