Introduction

REVIEW OF LITERATURE

The researcher has gone through the both primary as well as secondary sources
for the data collection.

HYPOTHESIS
RESEARCH PRESUMES THAT-

a) Perceptions and Realities about education in Bihar are quite different.

b) There is lack of proper implementation of different schemes related to


Education.

c) Politics has played the most critical role in the degradation of quality
Education in Bihar.

d) Adamant Perceptions and ignorance of the reality are blots on the reputation
of education in Bihar.

RESEARCH QUESTIONS

1. Why was the region of Bihar an epicenter of Education in the past?

2. What are the determinants of Education?

3. What are the perceptions of people about education in Bihar?

4. What are the factors affecting the perception of the people?


5. What is the reality of education in Bihar?

6. How has politics affected the education in Bihar?

7. Why people in Bihar are perceived to be not good in English?

8. What is the best way forward i.e. can we break the stereotype?

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES


RESEARCHER INTENDS TO-

a) Discuss in brief about the historical background of the education in Bihar.


b) Find out the different perceptions about education in Bihar?
c) Find the factors which leads to forming such a perception?
d) Enlighten with the realities of Education in Bihar?
d) Find whether people in Bihar are really weak when it comes to English or is it just
an adamant perception?
e) Discuss how the politics affects the education in Bihar?
f) Know whether we can break this stereotype?

LIMITATIONS
The present research is confined to a time limit of one month and field work will be
confined to urban areas of Patna only.
