My Influence

Creative work has had a great influence on me. In particular, music is

the creative work that has made an impact on me. I have been playing piano

for approximately 7 years. Playing the piano has taught me many things. It

has shown me how to be a responsible and well-rounded individual. In

addition, it hasnt just taught me, it has also helped me. Playing the piano

has helped me to become better at memorizing. I have never excelled at

playing piano, but I have improved at it ever since I started playing. Playing

piano has transformed me into a more responsible and well-rounded

individual with stronger memory retention.

So far, I would not be as responsible as I am now if it werent for

playing the piano. I have responsibilities when playing the piano, such as

attending practice and performing recitals. If I do not practice, I will not do as

well at the recital. I am also responsible for making myself better. My piano

teacher can only teach me how and what I need to learn. Nobody can force

me to practice, only I can.

Without a doubt, I am a well-rounded person. There are many different

things I like to do, playing the piano is one of them. More specifically, I listen

to numerous types of music. I do not limit myself to just one genre. However,

I never was this way. I used to only listen to pop and nothing else. So, I have

become interested in different genres because of the piano. When it comes

to selecting songs to play, I dont care who sings it or the genre. I only care

about how it sounds. Usually, I end up liking the song and I start listening to

it.

Furthermore, I have a terrible memory and can never remember much.

There could be something important that I have to do, but I will forget about

it. When I try to remind myself, it doesnt seem to work. However, once I

started playing the piano, I was able to retain and memorize more easily.

Even though the piano has influenced me, I have not practiced at all this

year following a lesson. In my defense, I actually couldnt practice because

my piano is out of tune. Plus, I couldnt find my keyboard after I moved. In all

honesty, I can play a song on the piano and not practice. Then, when I return

to practice the following week, I still remember how to play the song. If I

didnt play the piano, I would never be able to remember anything.

Playing the piano has taught me to become more responsible with

taking care of myself. It has also taught me to become well-rounded with my

music choices. The best it has done for me though is, improve my memory.

Playing the piano is increasingly beneficial for me.
