CONSTRUCTION ANNOUNCEMENT
Southfield Road between Lafayette and Fort Streets
Thank you for your patience while we make important improvements
to Southfield Road in the city of Lincoln Park.
WHATS BEING DONE?
Capital improvements to Southfield Road
between Lafeyette and Fort Street in
Lincoln Park include road resurfacing,
concrete pavement repairs, new lane lines,
and new signs.
WHEN WILL WORK TAKE PLACE?
Construction will begin on Monday May 1
and the road work is estimated to be
completed in June, barring any unforeseen
delays or inclement weather. Restoration of
grass will be completed as weather allows.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
You can expect the road to be constructed
in stages. One lane of traffic in either
direction will be maintained at all times.
However, intermittent stoppages in traffic
may be encountered. Additionally,
Lafayette will be closed at the intersection
of Southfield Road to allow for construction
of new concrete pavement.
Please use caution when driving through
the work zone, reduced speeds will be
posted.
WHAT IF I HAVE A SPRINKLER
SYSTEM?
If you have a sprinkler system on your
property and are along the project corridor,
you are asked to identify and clearly stake
the locations of the system (heads, valves,
and underground lines) or any other
underground utilities that are not part of
the MISS DIG program. You can contact
