Context of the lesson:

Fairytales settings.
Teaching goals:
To develop student's thinking and prediction skills.
To inform students about fairytales settings.

Learning objectives: at the end of this lesson students will be able to

Predict and think about the story plot 'what will happen next?' by describing it.
Write what they think the story will be about on the stickers.
Identify fairytales settings like characters, place, time, and plot timeline.

Assumptions about prior learning:

Students already know about Cinderella story, but most students they do not know about
Cinderboy.
Students already know how to use KWL charts and prediction activities.
Anticipated problems and possible solutions:

Maybe some of the students read Cinderboy story, so I will use KWL chart to allow them express
prior information.
Personal focus for this lesson:

I will focus on my classroom management because students are very active and move around the
class. As a solution, I will use coupons for rewarding good behavior students and to make other
students imitate them.

ending?
The teacher will show the
book cover and let students
predict the story concept.
Also, the teacher will ask
some questions about
Cinderboy such as have you
heard about him before?
What do you think it will be
about by using KWL chart
and the book cover as well to
make some predictions.
Then, the teacher will move
students to the story area.
Student activity
Students at their desks for
two minutes will answer the
teacher questions because
they already know the
Cinderella story.
-Students will guess the book
idea in the first two minutes.
-The students will spend two
minutes to write on the
stickers what they know/think
it is about?
-Two minutes more to write:
what they want to know at the
end of the story?
Then, group by group
students will put their stickers
inside the KWL chart.
Students who finish putting
the answers will move to the
story area.
