As technology keeps improving, there will be autonomous robots that take

over many jobs in the future. This will have an impact on the economy as a
whole as well as society in general. I have chosen five genres to inform
others about the overall issues that might arise from autonomous robots in
the workplace. The genres that I have chosen to do for my muti-genre
project are Headlines/Front Page, Advertisement, PowerPoint, Timeline, and
Persuasive Essay.
I chose Headlines/Front Page from group one because it will allow me
to be able to write a newspaper article that will prove my ability to show the
extensive research that I have done on my line of inquiry. The purpose that I
am trying to communicate through this genre by showing the impact that the
autonomous robots will have on the workplace. The primary audience of this
genre would be the younger generation because they will be the generation
that will endure the most impact of all the generations. This genre might
depend on other genres because, in order to provide the information, there
will need to be proper research done, through the internet, such as an
infomercial and graphs/charts, as well as a research paper.
I chose the advertisement from group two because it will allow me to
show how my line of inquiry is beneficial to the world that we live in today.
The purpose behind this genre is to give a visual idea of how autonomous
robots will have on the working class and the economy. The primary
audience would be both the younger and older generations because these
robots will replace the jobs of the elderly and also the jobs of the younger
generation as the technology keeps improving. This genre depends on other
genres as it should represent the correct information.
I chose the PowerPoint from group three because I have the ability to
show how this is a serious topic that needs to be discussed. The message
that is being communicated is a visual representation of the overall impact
that autonomous robots will have on the working class. The primary
audience of this genre are the younger generation, as they are the ones who
will be looking for jobs and not be able to find any, since the robots will have
taken over their jobs.
I chose Timeline from group four because it will allow me to show the
history of the robot and how we are moving towards a more autonomous
world. The message that is being communicated through this genre is that
robots replacing jobs has some serious implications on the overall economy.
The primary audience of this is the younger generation because it will show
them that although they may not have to work, they wont be able to make a
living, because of them lacking the ability to work.
Lastly, I chose Persuasive Essay from group six because it will allow me
to explain the benefits of robots in the workplace. The purpose of this genre
is to make note that robots replacing jobs is a real and serious thing, that will
have a major impact on the economy. The primary audience of this genre is
the younger generation, as it will impact them the most. This genre might
depend on other genres by having to research the implications of how the
impact on the economy.
