To Whom it May Concern:

I am writing on behalf of Miss Bryn Hendershott, senior at Western High School. I have had the
pleasure of teaching Bryn in the elective Social Science course of psychology. Throughout my
time with Bryn, I learned about her academic motivation to succeed, even when faced with
challenges.

I had the opportunity to watch Bryn mature and grow over the first semester, witnessing many
traits, one being her excellent dedication to education, even when faced with adversity. For
example, Bryn was given the assignment to research more about abnormal psychology and was
honest and forthcoming about her family experiences. This was admirable for me to hear her
share and feel shes a brave, honest student when it comes to learning in all facets.

In addition to her dedication to education, Bryns interaction with others is done with respect.
She always treats me with respect and I observe as she interacts with other staff members and the
same kindness is witnessed. Not only does Bryn interact with her teachers in a respectful
manner, but with her peers as well. This is evidenced in her membership to Westerns Student
Council, an extracurricular activity focused on helping others and exemplifying school spirit.

Bryns academic dedication and interaction with others are two powerful traits that demonstrate
her character. I believe she is an intelligent student who will strive for success, thus making her
portfolio a valid collection of her work.
