Four parallel industry development projects (Organization Resources
Counselors, American Institute of Chemical Engineers/Center for Chemical
Process Safety (CCPS), API and American Chemical Council) led to the
creation of process safety.
Subsequent U.S. government regulations based upon industry concepts.
