adventure of a lifetime.

importance of speaking a language, and how to phrase/gesture.

------- Move to general BJC meeting
Charlie Chami

BJC budget for the year presentation of this to the members. We have done this on
100 people renewing and 40 new, same as last year. Explanation of different areas of
the budget, and the changes/similarities to previous years including the Hanover
incoming exchange. New items that are in the budget; JCI International which is an
umbrella organisation, BJC are historically not affiliated to this a conversation has
been started in previous years. A 500 allocation has been put in, but nothing has
been discussed or proposed. 39ers event; for those who graduate wed like to invite
them to an event. Explanation of other/additional elements on the budget. Overall;
3,000 has been cut from expenses. We dont want to run surpluses, but we do want
to run solvent. We overspent last year, looking to break even total expenditure is
23,350 with a deficit of 975. There is a surplus allocated for.
Q Past President Savita Custead Surprised to see JCI affiliation. Would like to ask
about the BJC Internship; why is the investment so low if this will be a major project
for this year why only allocating 450 here? The reason this is so low, is because we
arent paying anyone it is to allow for transport for pupils, grant towards transport.
Budget approved by a show of hands no abstentions or against.
