Rules
1. Come to class prepared every day
2. Follow the teachers directions
3. Use hand signals to ask a question or speak (simplified sign language)

Procedures
When entering the classroom in the morning Enter quietly, pick up the Do Now
assignment on the teachers desk, read the assignment and start working quietly. Read
your book if you finish early.
Lining up for assemblies or other transitions -Place books and materials on the top
right corner of the desk when leaving the classroom. Walk quietly outside and line up
on the wall outside the classroom in number order.
Turning in homework - Make sure your name is on your paper! Students at each table
give homework to the table leader. Each table leader walks quietly to the homework bin
to drop off the papers. Table leaders walk quietly back to their group table and begin
the next activity.
Raising hands for question, comments, and restroom - Use a simplified sign language
system for raising hands.
o A means I have an answer, C means I have a comment, Q means I
have a question, R means May I use the restroom?
When leaving the classroom for the day- Wait for the dismissal song to play or for Ms.
Moss cue for dismissal. Then, quietly pack your homework folders in your backpacks,
clear off your desks and put your chairs up. Grab your belongings and quietly line up
outside the classroom in number order.
