1 PURPOSE
This document is a diagnostic procedure for the Fuel Gauge function.
It must be carried out before removal of the BSI in relation to this function.

2 WARRANTY REIMBURSEMENT

WARNING: BEARING OF THE COST OF REPLACEMENT OF A BSI IS SUBJECT TO A

"PRIOR WARRANTY APPROVAL" REQUEST.

THE USE OF THIS OPERATING PROCEDURE IS COMPULSORY PRIOR TO

THE REPLACEMENT OF A BSI.

Bearing of the cost of replacement of a BSI is subject to provision of the final step of the
sequence used, which will be expressed in your warranty claim in the following format:

Procedure N: That indicated at the bottom of each page.

Document version The document version is indicated in the sequence of modifications table.
Sequence N: This is indicated in the title of each paragraph of the procedure.
Example: [G01][S03] The boot light does not function.

WARNING: ALL PARTS MUST BE RETURNED.

SOME PARTS WILL BE CHECKED BY SAMPLING.

IF THE FAULT IS NOT REPRODUCED, THIS MAY RESULT IN

CANCELLATION OF THE REIMBURSEMENT.

3 REMINDER OF THE FUNCTION AND OF ITS ARCHITECTURE

The purpose of this function is to measure the level of fuel in the tank and to indicate it to
the driver on the instrument panel.

3.1 Function configuration and parameters

The configuration and parameters of the function can be accessed using the Peugeot
Planet 2000 or Diag 2000 tool.

The configuration linked with the function can be accessed via the menu:
ECU configuration and services
Test by ECU
BSI
Configuration
Customer option
Fuel information

Configuration is carried out by means of the variables:

Type of fuel
Gauge pattern
Mercosur gauge

The parameters linked with the function can be accessed via the menu:
ECU configuration and services
Test by ECU
BSI
Parameter measurements
Instruments/measurements

The parameters are:

Gross fuel level
Filtered fuel level
Displayed fuel level
Impedance of the fuel gauge

Note: there may be a few differences depending on the vehicle subject to the diagnostics.

WARNING: Before carrying out any work on the vehicle, you must check:

THE BATTERY VOLTAGE

THE FUSES

CARRY OUT PROCEDURE G00:

5 [G09][S01] THE FUEL GAUGE DOES NOT TAKE INTO ACCOUNT

FILLING OF THE FUEL TANK
This case arises when the customer fills the fuel tank with less than 7 litres of fuel.

The BSI is not faulty, its removal is not authorised

When filing the tank, add more than 7 litres
