Homework for____________

May 1-5
How in the world is it already May? Wow! This year has flown by. We are going to finish strong these
last few weeks as wrap up and review our curriculum and prepare to become second graders!

In spelling this week we will be reviewing plural noun rules (s, es, ies). In Math we will be using our
knowledge of addition and subtraction to solve word problems. In Reading we will be identifying facts and
opinions and writing our own. In Language we will be doing a whole-curriculum review of skills. In Social
Science we will be gearing up for our eggs to hatch next week. We will also be learning about the life cycle
of a plant.

This week I will also be doing the Rigby Assessment with students to determine their end of the year
reading level! This is a VERY time-intensive test and will take most of the week for me to complete with
all students. I will communicate their results with you as soon as possible. I cant wait to see how much
these kiddos have grown as readers this year.
