EFFECT OF APPLICATION STRATEGY OF LEARNING ENGLISH CURRICULUM

ACHIEVEMENT OF CLASS XI SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL N 1 SUNGAI LALA

ABSTRACT

This study aims to determine the effect of the implementation strategy of learning the English
language curriculum in 2013 on student achievement class XI ipa in senior high school N 1
sungai lala, and to find a significant difference to the strategy of learning English Education Unit
Level Curriculum (KTSP) with the strategy of learning the curriculum 2013 (K-13). The
usefulness of the application of curriculum learning strategy in 2013 was to determine the
response of students of class XI ipa in the implementation of the curriculum learning strategy
implementation in 2013.

The method used in this research is descriptive method with quantitative approach. The process
of sampling in this research is to use an experimental population of XI class 1 and class XI ipa
ipa 2. Techniques of data collection by meberikan learning curriculum implementation in 2013
for one semester. Thus, the samples used can determine the effect of the application of learning
curriculum in 2013 on student achievement class XI ipa. It can be concluded that students in
class XI ipa, not yet ready to implement the strategy of learning the English language curriculum
in 2013, in because of the number of instructional hours per week in 2013 curriculum more in
comparison to the number of instructional hours education unit level curriculum. As a result, the
material that must be mastered students multiply so that not every material can be conveyed
properly. achievements in the application of learning curriculum 2013 to decline dibandigkan use
education unit level curriculum learning.

The results showed that the implementation strategy at English language learning curriculum in
2013 greatly affect the class XI ipa. This has resulted in declining achievement, which is caused
by too much material to be conveyed so that not all of the material can be well and too many
teachers who are not ready mentally with this kurikulm, because the curriculum is demanding
more teachers keatif.Oleh Therefore, to form the active student strategy, Character, and
Achievement in the implementation of English language learning curriculum in 2013 is less
efficient in the set.
