EDITING PROCESS:

I was intending to edit my radio drama using Adobe Audition. However, when I went to
edit it, the pop up box (pictured below) came up and I was unable to use the audio
files I had recorded, as they were all offline.

I decided to use Adobe Premier Pro instead as I am quite good at using this already
and I know it has quite a few audio editing tools which are quite good.
1. I inserted all the files into the media browser so I was able to easily drag them
onto the timeline.
2. Then I dragged the speech recording onto the timeline. I listened to it and cut
out any mistakes or silence sounds using the trimming tool.

3. Once I had done this, I started to add in the sound effects into the appropriate
places. Some of these required trimming down so I used the trimming tool
again.
4. Some clips needed to be quieter or louder in places so I adjusted the volume.
If you play the sound for a few seconds then pause it, you can make the sound
increase or decrease later in the clip so you do not have to trim it and it will not
sound jerky. Doing it this way makes the sound increase/decrease subtle and it
flows nicely and naturally.

5. Once I had done all the small sound effects and Foley sounds, I added in the
background noise, which was the heavy rain. I used the same volume technique
as above to make some of the rain sound heavy and strong when the door is
open and slightly quieter when the door is shut.
