Relevant legislations

Because I will be employing actors and a composer I need to


follow the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. And I also
need to follow the minimum wage act.

This means I am responsible for there safety. Making sure


they have access to food, water and the toilet. They also
need a hour undisturbed break.

Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 this Act of Parliament is


the main piece of UK health and safety legislation. It places
a duty on all employers "to ensure, so far as is reasonably
practicable, the health, safety and welfare at work" of all
their employees.

The other main one I have to look at the minimum wage act.
My actors are 65+ meaning they should be paid at least
7.50 an hour, as this is the minimum wage for 25+. This
means I need to give the right amount of the amount of
hours they do.

As an employer I have lots of responsibilitys put on me


because of legislations.
