On 22nd of every month separate list for All, Manual, Seasonal and NoForecast profiles are made from
the forecast profile backup file and sent to the L2 team and the CDP Team. The CDP Team will go
through the list and revert if there are any changes to be made to the existing profiles.
This file contains Category, Channel Type wise list of Basepacks for Manual, NoForecast and
seasonal profiles which runs in only a particular state and basepacks which runs in all states. Refer
the file given below for more details.

As a process we use one process chain to Generate Proportion Factor and copy Proportion
Factor to Adjusted Proportion factor which is explained in detail in following section. For better
understanding this section briefly explains how to generate proportional factor for a particular
category.
The Proportional factor is generated by using the last 3 MOC data. i.e, previous 9 TDP Data is
taken in to consideration for all Non-seasonal basepacks.
The Proportional factor for Seasonal packs is generated by using the last 12 MOCs data.
Step 1: Open Calculate Proportional Factors window from the SAP Menu.

Hindustan Lever Limited | SAP SCM -Demand Planning
Step 2: In the Calculate Proportional Factors window specify the Planning area ZHLHPC1 or select the
same from the list as shown in step 3.
Step 3: Select ZHLHPC1 from the list in the Planning Area field.

Step 5: In the Basic Settings Tab and Basis for proportion calc section, Select Cleaned Sales Order
Keyfigure.
The Last 9 TDPs Cleaned Sales Order data is used to calculate Proportion factor for the next 64 TDPs
starting from N+2 MOC.
Ex: If the Current MOC is MOC 01, CSO period will be MOC 10, 11 & 12 Transfer horizon will be MOC308
to MOC9 09.
Note: For Generating Proportional factor Seasonal forecast profiles last 36 TDP Cleaned Sales Order data
is used and select Detailed Proportions option from the Proportion calc. type section.
After specifying the details in the Basic settings Tab, select the Other Settings Tab and enter the
details as shown in Step 6.
Step 6: In the Other Settings Tab Restrictions for Data Selection section select the category for which the

This section explains in brief about rolling back current baseline from back up.
This activity is done on every alternate month and we do not generate proposed baseline in such
forecasting cycle. We follow other process as it is. After APF realignment we will take backup of
Current baseline and Demand Drivers. Post which we will initialise current baseline for forecasting
period and apply back current baseline so that it gets disaggregated basis latest APF (Calculated on
latest MOC sales).
Check Selection and aggregation level. (Aggregation level same as Forecasting level)

Background screen.
Step 5: If the Job has run successfully then the status will show Finished in Green else if job has

This section explains in brief about the usage of the Auto Forecast Model. This model checks the
sales data at basepack, channel type and state and creates new combinations wherever the new
sales combinations are there in the sales data.
The Auto forecast model assigns a dummy profile to all the new combinations and later proper
forecast profiles are assigned to these dummy profiles manually or through LSMW transaction.
The steps given below explain the procedure to run the Auto Forecast Model.
Step 1: Select the ZFCSTTEST job from the Change Demand Planning in Background screen.
Step 3: Check for the aggregation level Should be Basepack, Channel Type and State.
Step 4: Click on the save button and go back to the SAP main menu.
