This matter comes before the court on appellants emergency motion for
MAY 05, 2017

temporary injunction. Appellants request that this court temporarily enjoin enforcement
of the 72-hour mandatory delay and additional trip requirements for abortions as set forth
in Section 1 of Senate File 471.
Upon consideration, the court denies the motion to the extent appellants are
requesting an injunction to prevent the Governor from signing the bill.

The court grants a temporary injunction staying enforcement of Section 1 of

Senate File 471 until this court has an opportunity to consider a response filed by the
appellees. Appellees shall file a response to appellants emergency motion for temporary
injunction no later than noon on Monday, May 8, 2017. The court will then consider
whether the injunction should remain in force pending this courts resolution of
appellants application for interlocutory appeal.
