This year, Developments major effort was centered around JIFFI South Bend Cubs night on April

portion of the sales for fundraising. Overall, we raised money for a great cause and enjoyed a great

Patricia Patterson Interview

This Spring, we had the privilege of sitting down
and learning the life story of Patricia Patterson,
one of our star clients. Our lives are better
because of people like Patricia, and we could not
be more grateful for her openness to share her
story. Here is a transcript from the interview:

I moved back from Tennessee after 20 years with three dollars in my pocket and an apartment with one
chair in the kitchen. My daughter is hungry, and Im thinking to myself what am I going to do next? I was
walking on the street one day when I passed a large group of ladies. I wondered, what are they doing
here? I stopped and they told me it was St. Margarets House. Im like, you know what, I need some help.
The have helped me through a lot, and any time I run into a problem thats where I go. Thats how I got
introduced to JIFFI loans. And here comes Jack and Aidan (JIFFI loan officers) and they got to talking, and
Im thinking, is it really that easy? They were so nice and sweet. Those guys are awesome; they made me
feel comfortable. I ran into a problem again and they came through, and I paid that one off early. Ive
met some good people along the way. And people have faith in me now. I got off housing and welfare,
and I know if I run into a problem again, I have someone to call.
