How would you use the PPP to introduce present perfect simple ?

Without a doubt, the present perfect is one of the most complex tenses to learn for Students.
teaching the present perfect effectively involves making sure pupils understand that the
present perfect in English is always connected in some way to the present moment in time.
Many languages including portuguese, German, Spanish and Italian use the present perfect
for past events. The present perfect in english covers what happens from a past moment to the
present moment in time.

I personally believethat by establishing this link in students' minds early will help students
avoid making mistakes.

First of all, I would start by providing short situations about life experiences and ask them what
they can see on the pictures; also, illustrate the present perfect for events that influence the
present moment in time. Speak about yourself, your family or your friends.for example

I've lived in mexico for 1 year. I have never benn to japan. My brother has studied
architecture

Then after that i would ask concept quetions to ensure students understanding of the
sentences for example, Do I continuou living in mexico?; Do i know japan ,why not? , how
much time did live in mexico? Did my brother finish studying?
