Features

Twin fire LEDs allow 360 viewing

 Locking mechanism (sensor to base)

 Shielded from external noise

 Variable sensitivity

 Electronically Addressed

 Non-pulsing version available (AIE-E(NP))

 Approved LPCB & VdS

Description
Model AIE-E is an Ionisation Smoke Sensor, which is fully compatible with Hochikis ESP
Analogue Addressable Protocol.

A single radioactive source within the AIE-E ionises two chambers, which allows a small DC
current to flow between the electrodes in each chamber. Smoke can freely enter the outer
chamber whilst the inner chamber is virtually sealed. Smoke entering the outer chamber
causes a reduction in the DC current, the imbalance between the two currents is proportional
to smoke density, which is filtered and transmitted as the analogue value.

The threshold on the AIE-E can be adjusted to compensate for contamination by utilising the
built in test facility.

Analogue Addressable Protocol. The ALG-E is also available in black, which makes it ideal for
nightclubs and cinemas where attention to aesthetics is required.

The ALG-E incorporates Hochikis unique High Performance Chamber Technology removing the
need to use Ionisation Sensors in the majority of applications. This also allows the sensor
threshold level to be increased, thereby improving the signal to noise ratio and reducing
susceptibility to false alarms.

The ALG-E smoke chamber is easily removed or replaced for cleaning and utilises a unique
baffle design which allows smoke to enter the chamber while keeping out ambient light.

temperature change

 No Mounting base required

 Minimal standby current

 Approved by LPCB & VdS

Description
Model DFG-60E is a 60C Fixed Temperature Waterproof Heat Detector, the detector uses a
bi-metallic strip to sense temperature change, therefore consuming minimal standby current
and providing high reliability.

The DFG-60E is particularly suited to environments, which are exposed to high levels of
condensation or are hosed down. The detector has a wide operating margin allowing it to
respond to both slow and fast increases in temperature; it can also sense temperature
reliably in a horizontal or vertical position.

The DFG-60E requires no mounting base as short flying leads are provided for connection to
the conventional zone and remote LED. If a back box is required, then the DFG-60E can be
mounted using the Hochiki MBB-1 Marine Approved back Box.

products

Description
Model MTL7787+ is an intrinsically safe, zone-powered, Zener-diode barrier for use in
conventional fire detection systems for protection within hazardous areas.

Each Zone contains two stages of pulse-tested Zener or forward- connected diodes and an
'infallible' terminating resistor. In the event of an electrical fault in the safe area, the diodes
limit the voltage that can reach the hazardous area and the resistor limits the current. A
fuse protects the diodes, and the two stages of voltage limitation ensure continued safety if
either stage should fail. No active output-current limiting circuits are employed.

Model MTL7787+ is certified 'ia' for all zones and 'IIC' for all explosive atmospheres.

PLEASE NOTE: The Earth connections to the unit are made via connection to
the DIN rail (this product MUST be earthed.

Description
Model SRA-ET is a reflective beam smoke detector consisting of an emitter/receiver unit and
reflector plate that works over a distance of 5 - 30m, providing a maximum coverage of
450m2.

The detector is powered directly from the zone, so no auxiliary power supplies are required, so
when the zone is reset the detector is reset automatically. The SRA-ET can also be interfaced
onto Hochikis ESP systems by using a CHQ-MZ Mini Zone Monitor or a CHQ-Z Dual Zone
Monitor. The SRA-ET comes complete with a Reflector and Termination Module which fits
directly on to a standard U.K. dual back box, this allows the detector be surface or flush
mounted. Line continuity options can be selected on the termination module and these are
based on the Schottky or Zener diode method.

The SRA-ET is not solar blind so care should be taken when installing the detector as false
alarms may occur. In areas affected by sunlight the Hochiki SPB-ET Beam Detector should be
employed.

True Loop Emulator
TE-TLE
Features
Allows simulation of up to 4 loops of Hochiki
analogue devices (127 per loop)

System 'Cause and Effect' can be verified

along with double address and short circuit
simulation

Saves time and installation costs as whole

system can be tested 'virtually'

Description
The TE-TLE is a 'virtual' loop device. Once the Fire Alarm Control Panel is connected to the
computer via the Interface, a 'virtual' loop can be created within the True Loop Emulator
software.

Devices can be selected and 'placed' on addresses on the loop. These devices can then be
activated with a number of different actions such as 'fire' or 'short-circuit' conditions, to test
the panel's reactions and programming. In this way, a complete fire detection system can be
tested and proven before any actual hardwiring commences, saving time and resources.

Each Interface can handle up to four loops of devices and the software can handle one or two
Interfaces. Thus, up to eight loops of devices can be emulated simultaneously.

detectors

 Quick connection via square cable

clamps

Available as a DIN Rail Module

Description
Model YBO-R/SCI is a Loop Isolator, which is fully compatible with Hochikis ESP analogue
addressable protocol.

The YBO-R/SCI Base is compatible with any of the ESP Sensors, and can be used instead of
the standard YBN-R/3 Base, this reduces the cost of the Short Circuit Isolators and improves
the functionality. The Base incorporates an amber LED to show when it is isolating a section of
the loop, and if used under every analogue Sensor on the loop, none would be lost if a single
short circuit was to occur.

The YBO-R/SCI does not use an address, and has the same wiring configuration as the YBN-
R/3 Sensor Base making it very simple to install. The YBO-R/SCI can also be used without a
Sensor; a cover can be fitted to conceal the wiring connections (see below). The device is also
available as a DIN Rail mountable unit.

Connection of up to 127 per loop

Allows connection of Sensors from the

ESP Range

Bayonet slot, low insertion force for

detectors

 Quick connection via square cable

clamps

Description
Model YBO-R/SCI(NS) is a negative-switching* Loop Isolator, which is fully compatible with
Hochikis ESP analogue addressable protocol.

The YBO-R/SCI(NS) Base is compatible with any of the ESP Sensors, and can be used instead
of the standard YBN-R/3 Base, this reduces the cost of the Short Circuit Isolators and improves
the functionality. The Base incorporates an amber LED to show when it is isolating a section of
the loop, and when used under each analogue Sensor if a single short circuit was to occur on
the loop then no Sensors would be lost. The YBO-R/SCI(NS) does not use an address, and has
the same wiring configuration as the YBN-R/3 Sensor Base making it very simple to install. The
YBO-R/SCI can also be used without a Sensor; in this case a cover should be fitted to conceal
the wiring connections.

NOTE: Only this model of isolator can be used on systems featuring the BGU-E Call Point Isolator. Positive-Switching
and Negative-Switching devices should never be mixed within the same system.
