Describe the instructional activities that will occur prior to the SRS activity and how you will
introduce the SRS activity: Throughout the week we have been focusing on the World War II, We have
been learning specifically about important figures in World War II. I would ask the students to name a few
of the important figures we have been studying. Once I see that the students know a few of the names of the
important figures than I will introduce the review. I will pull up Quizlet and review with the students using
the flashcards on Quizlet.
Describe the purpose of the SRS activity (check all that apply):
Assess Prior Knowledge Anticipatory Set (Create Interest in a Topic) To Illuminate Common
Misconceptions Formative Assessment of Content Knowledge (for purposes of differentiation and
mastery for ALL students) Summative Assessment of Content Knowledge Test Preparation

Additional explanation of purpose (optional):

Type of session: Teacher-Paced Student-Paced

Identification of students:
Students will log-in so their individual scores will be available to you after the session
SRS activity will be anonymous
Briefly describe what will happen during the SRS activity:
The students will be using Quizlet to review important figures of World War II. The students will be able to
play the different activities on Quizlet to help retain the information about important figures in WWII. The
students will need Ipads or computers to complete the SRS activity on Quizlet. The activities on Quizlet
should only take about the 20 mins.
The teacher will give the students 20 mins to review the flashcards and play two of the activities on Quizlet.
When the students are done with the activities they will flip their Ipads over or shut their computer to
indicate that they have complete their activities. The teacher will than review the notecards and the
corrects answers with the students. She will also allow them the opportunity to talk about what they thought
of Quizlet. This is a great opportunity for the teacher to see what the students think of the resources she
brings into the classroom.
When the teacher is done reviewing the correct answers with the students she will than give them a quiz to
test their knowledge on important figures in WWII. The quiz will take no longer than 15 mins. This will be
great to take data to see how well students do when they use tools like Quizlet to review and understand

Use of data: What data will be collected as a result of this activity? How will it be used and by whom?
(For example: Will information collected from this activity be used to award a grade? Will the individual
information collected be shared with students and/or parents to help them monitor individual progress?
Will you discuss the aggregate, anonymous data with the whole class to help them learn? Will you use data
to differentiate instruction for students, if so describe how.)
I will be able to collect data anonymously and individually. So I will see how the class did as a whole. I will
be able to collect data on this to see what I need to focus on more or if I can move on from the important
figures in the WWII. I will also be collecting data by grading their quizzes they take after the SRS activity.
This will also show me how well they know the information and if we can move on or not.
Describe what will occur after the SRS activity: After the activity we will go over the correct answers
and then we will taking a matching quiz to see how well the students know their important figures of

not tried before? What do you hope to learn from this activity? How do you hope it will help students learn?
You must design something that will help you learn something new. Honor system!) : Im trying to see how

assessment. Im hoping this tool will help them a lot when studying for quizzes or test. Im hoping students
will use this tool to studying for other subjects. Im hoping my students will use this tool outside of the
classroom. Im hoping this tool helps reach all types of learners in my class. I want to bring different tools
into the classroom that will help all of my different types of learners. Those are my hopes for using SRS.
