I would like to express my sincere interest in an Elementary teaching position within your school district.
I am currently full-time student teaching in a 4th grade classroom at Brimhall Elementary in Roseville,
Minnesota for the entire 2016-17 school year. I will be obtaining a Minnesota Teaching License for
grades K-6 and Masters of Education degree in May of 2017 following my completion of the Initial
Teaching Licensure Program from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. I am confident that my
educational background and extensive experience educating diverse student populations will allow my
instruction to prepare real-world-ready students while fulfilling the expectations that your district puts
forth in its teachers.

I graduated from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities in May of 2016 with my Bachelors of Science
degree in Elementary Education. My present and previous experience in education has prepared me to be
an excellent, student-centered teacher. Throughout my teaching experience at Brimhall Elementary, I
have gained a great understanding of the districts expectations of its educators. I have been fortunate to
work with a diverse student population and the experience has been immensely rewarding. On a daily
basis, I prepare dynamic lesson plans in all subject areas with attention to my students cultural
backgrounds and achievement levels. I believe in incorporating technology for instructional purposes to
provide all students with rigorous and personalized learning while maximizing operational systems. In
doing so, I utilize technological supports within the state curriculum in which I incorporate the use of a
SmartBoard, Chromebooks, iPads, and labs with desktop computers to enhance my students learning
opportunities in all subject areas. I also participate in weekly Professional Learning Community meetings
with the fourth grade level team in addition to Professional Development staff meetings. These
experiences have allowed me to collaborate with my colleagues as well as create and instruct data-driven
lessons. I greatly enjoy being a part of a team that works towards furthering meaningful education and
curriculum for all students.
