To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing in response to the current job opening available for a Guidance Counselor position.

I am a graduate of Caldwell University where I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.

I continued my education at Caldwell University to obtain a CACREP accredited Masters in
Counseling with School Counseling Specialization, while also satisfying the education
requirements for the New Jersey Licensed Professional Counselor track. My MA in Counseling
with School Counseling Specialization will be complete in May 2017. Within the Sparta School
District, I have worked as a substitute, a paraprofessional, and as an intern. During my practicum
and internship I gained experience in several areas including student counseling, student crises,
guidance curriculum, college and career development, scheduling, and testing. Also, I am well
informed of current and new technologies that are utilized to assist students and staff. In my
practicum experience, alongside my supervisor, I created a presentation that assisted student
and parents in current college application processes and career counseling for Naviance Night.
Through my experience in my positions, my education, and internships, I continue to learn and
to grow as a professional. I am diligent, knowledgeable, competent, and would be an asset
to your team.

I would greatly appreciate discussing my potential in this position.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,
Samantha N. Carter
