India is located on the
continent of Asia. Its is
surrounded by the Indian
ocean and the Bay of Bengal.
India is south of Pakistan and
China.
Geography
India has a variety of
landforms and bodies of
water. The Deccan Plateau is
a triangular shape that
provides rich soil for farmers.
The black soil is rich with
minerals that can be used to
grow cotton. The Indus river
starts at the Himalaya
Mountains. The reason why
the Indus river has water is
because of melted snow that
falls from the Himalaya. The
Himalayas is located in
nothern in India. Mt. Everest-
tallest mountain in the world-
is apart of the Himalayas.
The Thar desert is mainly dry
and contains sand and stone.
It also has very little plant life.
Agriculture is the largest
livelihood in India. They grow
crops in the rain season, but
the most time it right,. They
also raise cattle there.
Religion
The main religion in India is
Hinduism
In this religion they believe in
Brahma who takes on 2 more
people. Vishnu is a preserver
who has a lot of arms. Shiva
is the god of od destruction.
In this religion they believe in
karma. Karma is when you do
something good or bad and
something will happen in
return.
