Center for China & Globalization (CCG) is one of Chinas leading think
tanks. Founded in 2008, CCG is headquartered in Beijing, and has one
representative office in Shanghai, three research institutes in Guangzhou,
Qingdao, and Shenzhen/Dongguan. As for international presence, CCG also
has overseas representatives in Hong Kong, Washington D.C., New York,
London, Frankfurt, Paris and Sydney.

With a team of 100 full-time researchers and professional staff, CCG is


also a qualified post-doctoral research institution recognized by the

CCG carries out dual track diplomacy, to increase discussion on global governance

CCG organised the think tank lunch


in Washington regarding dual
diplomacy

The dual dialogue lunch organised by CCG was


held near the Capitol Hill in Washington,the US,
as a practice Chinese think tank going out, and
an active promotion on the Sino China-US
dialogue and exchanges, deepening bilateral
cooperation in various fields, and suggested
that TPP and RCEP should be merged for
maximising its global effect.

On 20th June, 2016, the well-known media team of


journalists 'understanding China' visited CCG, and
exchanged with international experts in CCG,
analyze and look to the Sino China-US relations. The
event was jointed organised by the Asian Society
and CCG, leaders of main stream American media
such as CNN, Time, foreign policy, national public
radio visited CCG, and exchange with CCG experts
on issues include Sino China-US relations, the South
China Sea issue, the U.S. presidential election, TPP,
Sino China-Japan relations and other topics.
CCG strengthens research on global governance

On 22nd September, 2016, East China University


of political science and Political Science Research
Institute jointly published with CCG, China's
foreign media research center the States'
participantion index of global governance world
report 2016 in Beijing. The report consists of four
parts, "mechanism", "performance", "decision"
and "responsibility", with specific indicators to
measure the participation and contribution of
different countries in the process of global
governance.

CCG Caused to Reduce the Talent Movement Barriers in China

Beijing eased rules for foreign talents to enter, exit and


acquire permanent residence in the city. The new
regulations took effect on March 1, announced by the
Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on January 12, 2016.

Examples of favorable terms for foreign talents:


Providing them with special offices for permanent residence examination and approval;
Streamlined approval procedures and more favorable conditions for foreigners with
doctorate degrees or above to get a Chinese green card;
The pilot program in Beijings Zhongguancun Science Park will also allow short-term
internships in Beijing for foreign students and permit them to run their own start-ups in
Zhongguancun. Foreign tech and senior management talents, for example, are
encouraged to join Chinas creative companies and file for permanent residence.

Based on a project to formulate Chinas medium- and long-term


plan for talent development, CCG submitted a report that
eventually led to the formulation of the Central Governments
One Thousand Talents Plan, the most significant and innovative
foreign talent recruitment program in China.
