Jails, for a considerable long time, had been deemed to be very cruel especially to the

inmates. The activities going on there not only disturb the inmates but also frustrate the workers

(Cornelius, 2010). The workers range from cooks up to the guards who protect the prisoners.

Working in jails especially those for the counties can cause trauma if one is not careful.

However, some people are for change in the prisons. County Sheriff talks about working in a

county jail, and there are several reasons for working there.

Firstly, the filth nature of the guards needs to be altered. There is need to change the way

things are done there. In fact, guards are accused of sleeping with inmates who are against the

law and general society. Secondly, some workers harass the inmates regarding food and other

grounds. One can work in the jail to cease the behavior and brings back sanctity. People working

in jail are disadvantaged. They had horrible working conditions and viewed as people who are

worthless in the society.

While some inmates are rowdy, active measures by workers are put in place to protect

such riots. The inmates require moral guidance to accept themselves and reform. In addition,

professional counselors need to be invited to talk to these people. Engaging the inmates by

providing skills to harness some money for themselves after they move away from the jail is very

paramount. Talents lie in the inmates. People in jail are normal and need to be exposed so as to

fully exploit their talents.

Jails are facilities that are meant to rectify behavior. There is a lot of animosity trading in

the jails. Instead of nurturing talents, it is disgusting to learn bad things are going on. Therefore,

the county administration needs to pay keen attention to restore the faith people have in the jails.

The workers around those places need to be vigilant to attain what they are destined for. It is only

through government intervention that things might streamline there.
