1. Describe the different activities that the intern teachers engaged in this
semsester: __Anna observed multiple activities, transitions, multiple learning
situations, and so forth. She observed the teachers support conflict
resolutions between preschoolers. Anna observed different classroom
management tools.
2. Strengths/Weaknesses of intern teacher:
3. Anna was able to help one on one with some students when directed from her
supervising teacher.
Anna was very quiet during her time in the preschool class at Hickman. We
would have liked to see Anna get more involved with the preschoolers and
their pretend play, dialogue, and so forth.
4. Description of the interns daily schedule while in the classroom:
Anna observed the preschool classroom from 8:50-10:30 on Tuesday and
Thursdays. The daily schedule during that time was: large group, bathroom,
small group, planning, working time, and clean up time.
5. Comments on the intern teachers understanding of the teaching profession:
Anna appeared to understand the teaching profession and what was
developmentally appropriate with 3-5 years towards the end of her time in
the preschool class. When directed from her supervising teacher she was
able to use some appropriate teaching skills (one on one with a student).
Please rate your intern teacher on the following: 5 being excellent, 4 above
average, 3 satisfactory, 2 needs immediate improvement and 1 unsatisfactory.
Note: if you have anyone below a 3, please e-mail me immediately so that I can also
conference with the student. We want to ensure the intern is meeting your needs
and that of your students.
