A special welcome to any new students
joining us at Roslyn in our amazing Mana
Tahi team.
Term One Review
Our Inquiry last term around Kiwiana and
being unique was a wonderful opportunity
for all of our students to recognize and
learn more about our beautiful country of
New Zealand. It was also an opportunity
for finding out about Kiwi slang and the
wide range of things that make us unique.
Diversity in New Zealand is one of the
strong factors that make us unique. The
students also came to the conclusion, that
Roslyn School is amazingly diverse as well,
with a deep and rich cultural and learning
foundation.
The students creativity as part of the
Roslyn Investigators, became very evident
with the magnificent creations that were
made around Kiwiana. The collaboration
that went alongside these creations was
very interesting to watch and listen to.
Building those skills around the Key
Competencies can only help our students
in their journey to become life- long
learners.
A big thank-you to all those family
members who were able to pop in and see
the learning and creating happening, along
with the finished products.

ANZAC Commeration Service
What an amazing service this was. Well
done to our Student Council and Whaea
Maryanne for organising this. The
students across the school learned a lot
about ANZAC Day and what it means.
The wreaths created were outstanding and
the quality improves every year.
Expectations
Learning continues to be very important to
us all here at Roslyn. Please remember
that the school day begins at 8.55am. We
would appreciate it if you ring the school
early if your child is going to be late or
absent. We appreciate your continued
support in encouraging and supporting
your child in their learning. Please
remember that if you have any concerns,
your childs teacher is more than happy to
meet with you at a suitable time for both
parties. We are here to work together
with you to build successful learners.
