considertobepets(i.e.dogs,cats,birds,etc).However,webelievethatanimal
crueltyextendsfurtherthantheaveragepetandbranchesouttoo,easily
forgotten,domesticatedfarmanimalsaswell.

InCaliforniaalone,therearevariouslawsthatprotectthewellbeingofpets.
Forinstance,PenalCode597PCmakesitacrimetokill,physicallyharm,
neglectoroverworkananimal.Tooursurprise,thereisnotasmuchaction
beingdonetokeepthesafetyoffarmedanimals,eventhoughtheyarethe
animalsweusetonourishourbodies.

Ofcourse,thepurposeoffarmedanimalsistoprovidethepublicwiththe
variousproductsthatareabletobecultivatedandproducedfromtheanimals.
Butrightlyso,feedingthepublicshouldnotmeanthattheanimalsareexempt
fromprotectionagainstcrueltyandanimalwelfare.

Wewouldlikeyourhelpinprotectingthelivesofdomesticatedfarmanimals
usedforhumanconsumption.Wewouldlikethemtohaveavoiceandnotbe
abused,solelyforourneeds.
