What do you do Happen when youre your faith is being tested:

An Overcoming Attitude!
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Philippians 4:13
Sometime we as the people of Gods start to think the worst, which will lead to
believe the worst, and constantly talk about worst-case situations. But that
shouldnt be the case for us as believers. The enemy will start to plants things in
our mind.

Philippians 4:8-9New King James Version (NKJV)

Meditate on These Things

8
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are upright, whatever
things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever
things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything
praiseworthymeditate on these things. 9 The things which you learned and
received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with
you.
If you are a believer then you bear the name of Christ should walk as He walked
full of faith and confidence in the Father.
I come to understand that I must grab this attitude is found in Philippians 4:13,
where the apostle Paul wrote, I can do all things through Christ which
strengtheneth me.
If anyone had a reason to be dominated by the flesh at that moment, it was Paul.
Think about this or concern his circumstance he was in a horrible, nasty
prison and facing terrible circumstances.
(Anyone in here ever been in a horrible, nasty prison in your mind and facing
terrible circumstances, with your marriage, with your health, with your child,
etc..)
It remain to be seem!!!!

But as it is written:

Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,

Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.[a]
10
But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all
things, yes, the deep things of God.

Footnotes:

1 Corinthians 2:9 Isaiah 64:4

But rather than let allowing his flesh dominate him with emptiness, Paul used a
number of powerful Greek words to declare that he had the upper hand over all
the natural challenges that were around him and that he could do anything
through Christ who strengthened him.
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with
thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Philippians 4:6
When you are going through a trial , we need to spend time feeding our spirit
on other godly sources. When Paul was in prison writing the last letter he
would write, he told Timothy, When you comebring my books (2
Timothy 4:13 NLT).
Paul asked for books books he could read to strengthen his own spirit as he
waited in prison for his execution. Paul was filled with revelation and knew the
Lord better than any of us, yet he still longed to read and to grow as he waited to
depart to be with the Lord.
To live is Christ and to die is gain!!!!!
He could have said, Forget it Ill be in Heaven soon anyway! But Paul
understood that as long as he was alive, he needed to feed his spirit. Never forget
that growing people are reading people.
He will keep you in prefect peace whom mind is stay on me.

People who are stationary in life dont spend much time reading what others have
written. Reading is like fertilizer to a ground. The more you read good books, the
more your mind and spirit expand and your inward capacity grows.
And it doesnt have to be hours upon hours of reading. It can be a chapter a day
from a book that causes you to dig deeper or that challenges your mind and spirit
to grow. If you are a person that prefect audio more than a reader, you can do the
same thing by taking a few minutes each day to listen to an audio series or audio
books as you drive your car or work around your house.
Driving from Selma !!!! We use that valuable time spend in your car to feed our
spirit and produce strength in your life. What you put into your mind will
determine what you think, what you believe, and, ultimately, what will happen in
your life.

Although Paul was in a horrible predicament at the time he wrote the book of
Philippians, he declared, I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth
me! I want us to take a real good look at this verse today, because it is loaded with
insights about having an overcoming attitude.
When Paul said, I can do, the phrase is a translation of the Greek word denotes
the strength and power of gods. But when I can do was noted to operate in
individuals, it caused them to be superior to others, to be champions and winners.
It gave you the upper hand in every situation so that individuals operating in I can
do prevailed in every circumstance.
Besides, Paul adds, I can do all things. The phrase all things is from the
Greek word he is proclaiming that through Christ, he has the upper hand over
everything with nothing left out, including even the most minute details.
An interpretive translation would read: I have the power operating in me, and it
causes me to be superior a champion, a conqueror! This I can do I have the
power gives me the upper hand in every situation I face and causes me to prevail
in every circumstance. But Paul went on to say, I can do all things through
Christ which strengtheneth me. The word strengtheneth in Greek is a translation
of the word depicted the forces of an entire army. What are really saying
Preacher? The combined forces of a complete military pictures the power of a
whole army being deposited into a person.
Acts 1:8
3 | Page
John 14:16
Making this even more significant is the fact that Paul is declaring this type of
power was presently acting in him and would continue to express itself through
him. He was telling us that deposited into his spirit, and at his disposal, was the
alike of an entire fighting army. So the full verse could be interpreted as follows: I
have the power operating in me, and it causes me to be superior a champion, a
conqueror!
This power (I CAN DO POWER) gives me the upper hand in every situation I face
and causes me to prevail in every circumstance, and it is all through Christ, who
has filled me and continuously infuses me with the strength of a whole army! If
Paul could write this in the horrific situation he was in at that time and really
mean it, there is absolutely nothing you face that you cant overcome too.
How many in here today that is Save? The same power is available to you as well,
to cause you to be superior, to be a champion a conqueror and to have the
upper hand in every circumstance you face. When He filled you with the Holy
Spirit, He infused you with the ability of a whole army and He continues
continues to infuse with you with that strength at this very moment.
Your flesh may try to tell you that theres no chance youll make it through what
youre facing. That flesh will try to tell you that you might as well give up and
throw in the towel, because theres no hope for you.
But thats your moment to take charge over your flesh, command it to get into
domination, and release the power of God thats been mightily deposited inside
you! Soon youll find a supernatural flow of divine power coming forth from your
inner man that will give you the upper hand in whatever situation you find
yourself.
Rather than being dominated by your mind, body, and negative emotions, youll
find that you have become a mighty instrument in Gods hand through whom His
power can and will operate! Regardless of what you face, youll have an
overcoming attitude that prevails in every situation!

Sometime in life you feel Like You Hit a Brick Wall?

Listen to Paul

...We were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired
even of life: But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust
in ourselves, but in God, which raiseth the dead.
2 Corinthians 1:8,9
If you are currently facing hard times in your life? Today I want to encourage you
from the Word of God and show you how to tackle these difficult circumstances
and emerge victorious.
The devil will try to convince you that youre a failure, that your life is over, and
that nothing good lies ahead for you; however, this simply isnt true.
These emotions are temporary and short-lived, and the enemy is trying to use them
to hold you back and keep you from experiencing the fulfilled life that God wants
you to enjoy.
Although we dont like to admit it, we all occasionally have times in our lives
when we hit a brick wall, so to speak. We dont know what to say, what to do,
where to turn, or even how to pray. Sometimes it seems as if weve hit a dead
end and everything is finished, over, and done with.
These feelings usually arise when we think that weve failed, that people have
misunderstood you, or that you been unfairly judged.
But, even when you have made serious mistakes, these setbacks are rarely as
severe as they seem.
Emotions feel very real in the moment. When others tell you that your situation is
not as bad as you think or that you need to remember to be grateful for all the good
in your life, it may even make you angry. Their comments may be right, but
because youre the one in the midst of the trial, you still feel hopeless.
Somehow youve found yourself caught in a storm and you dont know how to put
one foot in front of the other to make your way out of it. You may feel like nothing
you do pleases anyone, so you question why you should even try. In truth, it
doesnt matter if the emotions you are experiencing stem from real personal failure
or from circumstances outside of your control. Its still your responsibility to get
up, brush yourself off, and start moving forward again in your walk with
God! Think about it your entire faith is based on resurrection. The resurrection
power of God is inside you, and it can lift you up above all the chaotic emotions
and turmoil into a better place than youve ever known in your life!

Let me talk for a little why how the enemy and your feeling work again you.
There have been many moments in my own life when I felt overwhelmed by
circumstances and challenges. That are the times when the devil seized the
opportunity to whisper, there is no way out. You have no way to crawl out from
where you are. Youre trapped with no escape.
However, his words of discouragement and despair have never proven to be true!
Although it may have taken longer than you anticipated to reach your goal and
required you to grow to new levels of faith, there was always a way to do whatever
Jesus had asked me to do, and you can ultimately found victory in every challenge.
If we stick with your assigned tasks and keep repentance and cleansing.
Pauls words in Second Corinthians 1:8 and 9 teach us what to do when we feel
like we simply cannot make it any further in our own strength or that were no
match for the challenges were facing. We simply must surrender to the
resurrection power of God!
Listen to what the apostle Paul did when he found himself face to face with life-
threatening situations.
When Paul wrote, We had the sentence of death in ourselves, he was at
one of those dead-end places, In fact, the situation he faced was so severe that he
compared it to a sentence of death.
The word sentence is the Greek word krino a word that usually referred to a
jury who had just handed down their final sentence in a court of law. You
could say that it denoted a verdict or a final sentence pronounced as the result of a
court trial.
After all the evidence had been presented and the judge had examined all the facts,
a final verdict was issued by the court. By using this word sentence or krino,
Paul told us that so many problems were stacked against him and his companions
that, by all appearances, it seemed like there was no way for them to escape or
even to survive. It looked as if theyd hit a dead-end, as if everything was finished,
over, and done with! Paul went on to say that it looked so insurmountable that, as
far as he was concerned, it seemed there was only one possible outcome death!
But in spite of how bad things appeared, Paul didnt die, nor did he fail at fulfilling
the job God had given him to do.

It may have looked like it was the end of the road for Paul, but it was really the
beginning of a new supernatural flow of divine power into his life.
It may have looked like it was the end of the road for you, but it was really the
beginning of a new supernatural flow of divine power into his life.

Thats why he went on to say that through it all, he learned not to trust in himself,
but in God who raises the dead. Paul had been under intense pressure, but right in
the midst of this horrible situation, Gods resurrection power was released inside
Paul and he was rescued! Paul said it was so dramatic that it was almost as if he
and his companions had been raised from the dead. When you dont know what
else to do but turn to God, thats usually when His resurrection power can begin to
operate in you in the greatest way.
You see, in God theres no such thing as a hopeless situation. That dead-end
place you may be facing right now can become a place of new beginnings!
Let me tell you, people all around you are struggling right now. The devil is
telling them that they wont make it. But they will make it if they choose to
turn their focused gaze to Jesus, and you will too! Your victory may not come
as you thought, but God is with you, and He will get you through whatever it
is youre facing if youll surrender to the Holy Spirits resurrection power
inside you.
Hebrews 12:2New King James Version (NKJV)
2
looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that
was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat
down at the right hand of the throne of God.

This is not the end for you! God has a marvelous plan for your life, and the
devil simply doesnt have the power to hijack what He has planned. Remember
if the devil has tried to tell you that youre a failure, that life is over, and that
nothing good lies ahead of you in the future, its not true! What youre feeling will
pass, and better days are ahead. Just determine to lay hold of the resurrection
power of Christ in you, and let it lift you up above the storm into a brighter and
better place!
MY PRAYER FOR TODAY
7 | Page
Father, I thank You for Your marvelous plan for my life. I praise You because the
devil is powerless to hijack it. I turn my attention from my failures and fix my gaze
upon Jesus, who is the Author and Finisher of my faith! My victory might not be
coming to me exactly as I expected nonetheless, my victory is on the way. I
surrender to the power of the Holy Spirit and allow Him to flow through me to
bring me to a place of victory! I pray this in Jesus name!
MY CONFESSION FOR TODAY
I confess that when I dont know what to do, I turn to God for direction and help,
and He releases His wisdom in me. There is no such thing as a hopeless situation.
When I feel that I am facing a dead end, Gods power turns it into a place of a new
beginning. What I am facing is not the end for me it is, in fact, the starting point
for a glorious new beginning. When the devil tries to tell me that nothing good lies
ahead for me, I remind him of the future that is awaiting HIM! I confess that the
resurrection power of Jesus Christ has already lifted me far above his attacks and
that a brighter and better future awaits me! I declare this by faith in Jesus name!
