How do We Stop Bullying?

Bullying is a big issue for children and teenager that pass through it. About 70%
students in Indonesia experienced bullying, and 10 % decided to not go to school
anymore. The impact of the act of mocking and intimidating can ended with suicide
in the extreme cases. Hence, bullying need to stopped. There are two main keys for
stop bullying: educating the bullies and protect the victim.

In my opinion, the reason why bullies must be educated is because educating will
have a much longer and deeper effect than punishment. Sometimes investors bullying
do not realize that he did to hurt feelings victims. The students need to know what
bullying is and what the impact is, so they can think twice before do this. Educating
the bullies cannot be separated from the role of adult such as teachers and parents.
Adult can invite bullies to discuss about bullying, teach them about respect others and
their differences.

The second way to deal with bullying is protecting the victim. The victim needs to
increase their confidence. They need to know that they are precious and they have
self-worth so they not just accept what is happening to them. The victim needs to be
protected by teach them bold, self-defense is allowed when necessary. Same with the
bullies, the role of adult is also important to help the victim. Adults need to know the
sign when someone gets bully. When they know, they should listen and help them by
increase their confidence.

In conclusion, there is no one single way for stop bullying, but its not good enough
to ignore it just because its hard to deal with. These two main ways need to be
combined and supported by their surroundings. Hence everyone involved in stopping
bullying and that could begin with does not support bullying and care for others.
