1.Introduction

S.S.S Company is requested to build a car for exhibition due to our client, EMPACT
request. The aim of this project is to design a vehicle that is capable of rolling down a slope
between 30- 45 degrees for 2 meters, and falling through a vertical drop of 1 meter without
sustaining any significant damage. Furthermore, the car is required to carry a weight, in the
form of 600ml water bottle. It is stated that the cargo must be loaded onto the top of the car,
with no complex assembly require and the condition of the cargo must be easy to access
without directly accessing to the car. With restrictions such as the design of the car must fit
within an A3 sheet of paper (420mm x 297mm), maximum height of any portion of the car is
210mm and there must be at least two axles on the car, and the wheels must allow the car to
move down a slope of 30 degrees minimum. In addition, the car must be designed to cost less
than RM30 when pricing materials. Our team assigned with the car project, which included 4
stages. The design package is stage 1 which displays the complete process of designing the
car, where element such as design drawings, design specifications, tender evaluation criteria
and risk management plan are presented in the report.

First and foremost, all the tools and materials outlined in Table 3.1 and 3.3
have to be gathered. For more details and info, please use the figure 1 and
design drawings 2.1 to 2.9 as a guide for this section. The tissue box (251L x
138W x 110H) mm would be the material for the body of the car. Firstly, 4 holes
with diameter 4mm are marked using pencil and ruler. Noted that the holes for
the front and back are parallel to each other counterpart on the other side so that
the wooden sticks are able to fit in and the axles will be aligned. Then, the holes
are poked using the soldering gun. Make sure that u wear a pair of safety gloves
while doing the solder part as u could tend to hurt yourselves when trying to
poke the holes. Secondly, measure (170Lx98W) mm and cut both long sides of
the tissue box to make the windows so that the cellophane wrap can later fit
from the inside.

First and foremost, all the tools and materials outlined in Table3.1 and 3.3
have to be gathered. For more details and info, please use the figures 1 and
design drawings 2.1,2.1,2.3,2.4,2.6,2.7 and 2.8 as a guide for this section. The
wooden chopsticks with length 200mm would be used for the axles of the car.
Firstly, put one chopsticks through the holes on the front to make the front axle.
Carry out similar procedure for the rear axle. Note that the chopsticks should be
of equal lengths on both sides. Glue all the joints between the axle and the body.
8 circles with dimensions are then measured using ruler and pencil and cut out
from a cardboard using penknife. The 8 circles with diameter 70mm which are
cut out from the cardboard will be glued on both hollow sides of the cello tape
which has diameter 90mm and become the rims for the wheels. Poke very small
holes on the centre of the rims for the axle to be stuck in. Lastly, glue all the
joints between the axles and the tires.

First and foremost, all the tools and materials outlined in Table 3.1 and 3.3
have to be gathered. For more details and info, please use the design drawings
2.5 and 2.9 as a guide for this section. Firstly, the top of the tissue box is
measured using ruler and pencil. Then, the hole with diameter 56mm is cut
using penknife. The purpose of the hole is to fit the 600ml bottle which is
required by the client.

First and foremost, all the tools and materials outlined in Table 3.1 and 3.2 have
to be gathered. For more details and info, please use the design drawings 2.1,2.4 and
2.7 as a guide for this section. Both windows with dimensions (170L x 98W) mm on
the long sides of the tissue box are measured using ruler and pencil. Then, it is cut
and the windows are covered with cellophane wrap that is glued from inside. Make
sure that it is fully sealed with cellophane wrap from the inside of the tissue box.

4.0 Tender Evaluation Criteria

4.1 Punctuality:

Time is very precious and important for us as a company of making a car. Sometime
a little bit of delay might cause a lot of trouble. Thus, punctuality will be listed down on
one of our tender evaluation criteria. We will rate on your company based on Table 4.1
and Table 4.2:

4.2 Communication skill

In this 21st century of modern society, English is known as international language.

Thus, we expect that those who are going to tender our design package and complete our
car project will have a very good English base. Besides that, we also want to see a good
dynamic in a team. For example, during meeting not only the leader that give opinion but
all the members should do it. We hope that evidences can be prove so that higher mark
will be given in Table 4.3 and Table 4.4:

4.3 Experience

We are looking forward to cooperate with those who are interesting in our project.
However, relevant experiences are very important because we want to make sure that our
project will not be ruin and complete perfectly in the end of the day. Thus, a list of
criteria will be given in Table 4.5 and Table 4.6 for designer and contractor and we will
rate it based on evidences.

4.4 Cost Management

Our company dont like to spoon feeding because we like to listen to new idea.
Therefore, we would like to request a proposal based on the list of materials from those
company who are going to tender our design package. We want a new proposal or idea
that can help us to reduce the cost on the materials. All the ideas must base on the criteria
at Table 4.7.

4.5 Understanding on Design Package

To ensure the company that tender our design package is really understand on our
company design package, we would like you to answer three following questions that
attach at Appendix 1. Each question worth 10 marks and it will rate based on the criteria
