This Indenture made the fourteenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and thirty four Between Calvin C Parks & Harriet Parks husband [and] wife of Auburn
Oakland Co M.T. of the first part & Salmon T Matthews of Troy in said County and Territory of the
second part witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of one
thousand dollars to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby
confessed and acknowledged have granted, bargained, sold, remised, released and by these presents do
grant, bargain, sell, remise, release & forever quit claim unto the said party of the second part and to his
heirs and assigns forever a certain parcel of land situate in said township of Troy known & described as
the west half of the northwest quarter of section thirty four in township two north of range eleven
east in the district of Detroit Territory of Michigan containing eighty acres. Together with all and singular
the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining, and the reversion
and reversions, remainder & remainders, rents, issues & profits thereof, and all the estate, right, title,
interest or demand whatsoever of the said parties of the first part, either in law or equity of, in & to the
above bargained premises with the said hereditaments and appurtenances. To have and to hold the said
parcel of land subject to Leonard Hopkins Land to the said party of the second part and to his heirs &
assigns forever. In witness whereof the parties of the first part have hereunto set his hands & seals the
day and year first above written.

Territory of Michigan } ss Be it remembered that on the fourteenth day of November A.D. 1834
Oakland County } personally appeared before me Harry A Lambert Justice of the Peace of said
county Calvin C Parks and Harriet Parks to me known as the subscribers to the above deed and severally
acknowledged that they executed the same for the purposes therein mentioned and the said Harriet being
by me examined separate from her said husband acknowledged that she executed the same without any
fear or compulsion of her said husband.
