tennis

Tennis is a racquet sport practiced on a rectangular track (composed of different

surfaces which can be cement, earth, or grass), delimited by lines and divided by a
net.2 It is disputed between two players (singles) or between two Couples (doubles).
The object of the game is to throw a ball hitting it with the racket so that it rebounds
inside the opponent's field, trying that it can not return it.

History

The first references of tennis take place in France, named "jeu de paume" ("game of
palms") since at the beginning the ball was hit with the hand. Later they began to use
rackets.

The original tennis was played on natural grass tracks.

It originated in Europe in the late eighteenth century and was initially expanded by
English-speaking countries, especially among its upper classes. At present, tennis has
become universal, and is played in almost every country in the world. Since 1926, with
the creation of the first tour, it is a professional sport. It is also an Olympic sport since
the Olympic Games in Athens in 1896.

Game rules

The tennis match begins with the throwing of one of the players. The player must hit
the ball in such a way that he / she can dribble inside the diagonal box with respect to
the side of the thrower. That is, the player must always serve or cross out.

The player has 2 opportunities to serve. If the first fails, you have another chance to
get the ball. If you do not put the ball in those two opportunities the point is for the
other. In case the first serve touches the net and falls into the opponent's court, he has
two more attempts. That only happens on the first serve. If it occurs in the second, the
player will only have one more serve.

When the player pulls and throws the ball from field to field, the opponent must hit the
ball after a pot or before, but they can never let the ball dribble twice. In that case the
opposing player will take the point.

Winning 4 points you get a game, if you do not reach 40-40 you will have to play
another two points (advantage-game) and winning 6 games you get a set.

The game is won with 2 sets (best of 3), or with 3 sets (better than 5), if at the end of a
set the players are tied to points a tie break is played. Consists of reaching 7 points
with a difference of 2

Boxin

Boxing is a combat sport in which two people wearing protective

gloves throw punches at each other for a predetermined set of time in a boxing ring.

Amateur boxing is both an Olympic and Commonwealth Games sport and is a common
fixture in most international gamesit also has its own World Championships. Boxing is
supervised by a referee over a series of one- to three-minute intervals called rounds.
The result is decided when an opponent is deemed incapable to continue by a referee,
is disqualified for breaking a rule, resigns by throwing in a towel, or is pronounced the
winner or loser based on the judges' scorecards at the end of the contest. In the event
that both fighters gain equal scores from the judges, the fight is considered a draw
(professional boxing). In Olympic boxing, due to the fact that a winner must be
declared, in the case of a draw - the judges use technical criteria to choose the most
deserving winner of the bout.

While people have fought in hand-to-hand combat since before the dawn of history, the
origin of boxing as an organized sport may be its acceptance by the ancient Greeks as
an Olympic game in BC 688. Boxing evolved from 16th- and 18th-century prizefights,
largely in Great Britain, to the forerunner of modern boxing in the mid-19th century,
again initially in Great Britain and later in the United States.

History

The history of boxing goes back to ancient Greece and the contenders fought naked
and rigid gloves.

There is evidence that boxing was practiced in Africa in 6000 before Christ, but it was
not until 688 BC that it was accepted as an Olympic discipline, although the Greeks
called it pygmachia.

But it was not until the eighteenth century that the term began to be used boxing and
was to differentiate between street fighting and combat with well-established rules.

The first rule of conscience was drawn up in 1743, but the current rules were made
known in 1889 by the Marquis of Queensberry and it was this character who is credited
with wearing gloves.

In 1743 Jack Broughton, British boxer, established the first rules of boxing, among
them, one could not beat a fallen adversary and several more that protected the
contenders, as there are legends that say, Broughton killed a rival to blows in 1741.

Unlike professional boxing, in the Olympic Games and amateur character fights, the
rounds are two minutes and not three as in pay boxing. In amateurism the fights are
four rounds.

The Pugilistic Benevolent Society (1866) was one of the earliest organizations to
regulate the fighting, but before that, the Pugilistic Association's Revised Rules (1853)
were in force, but both were popularly known as The Rules of the London Prize Ring.

When regulated boxing began, there was only one champion and he was generally the
heaviest. In the twentieth century the categories were organized in an organized way,
although not as they are now known.

You can not do any of these actions:

Strike the neck or behind the head.

Kick the opponent.

Turn your back on the opponent.

Tripping the rival.

Hitting under the belt.

To give intentional blows.

Make use of objects other than regular gloves.
