Needless to say, the endeavour required human resources, a firm organisation, and an outstanding leadership. Here, the perspicacity on electing structural leaders amongst the academia became a critical factor. Positive perspicacity would sequentially result in a conducive, productive, effective, and efficient working environment. Thus, this study aimed to (1) explore the perspicacity on the criteria, reality, and expectations during rector and vice rector elections amongst the academia within State University of Malang and (2) to establish an understanding of dean election in the faculties of State University of Malang.
