6 (i) Express 5 cos 1 2 sin 1 in the form R cos 1 + !, where R > 0 and 0 < ! < 90. Give the

value of ! correct to 2 decimal places. [3]

(ii) Hence

(a) solve the equation 5 cos 1 2 sin 1 = 0.9 for 0 < 1 < 360, [4]

(b) state the greatest and least values of
