A labor and maintenance bot for the agricultural colony on Ravellos 3, Mack was
abandoned along with S4LL1 by GCW settlers when Neiran marauders attacked the
disputed planetoid. Mack and S4LL1 escaped destruction at the hands of the Neiran,
but were taken into protective custody when the GDF patrol ship Advocate arrived to
defend the colony. The GDFs battle with the Neiran did not go well, and the combot
assigned to guard Mack, S4LL1, and a previously captured Mekkus Seeker was severely
damaged. Fleeing the conflict, Mack insisted the damaged combot be brought with
them. The band of bots used a small shuttle to escape and make their way to the relative
safety of backwater worlds.

S4LL1 (Sally) [Robot]

Programed to pilot produce freighters and ground equipment for GCW settlers of an
agricultural colony on Ravellos 3, S4LL1, like Mack, was left behind when the settlers
fled before the Neiran attack. Having agreed to set out on their own instead of trying to
locate their owners, S4LL1 is loyal to Mack. At Macks urging, S4LL1 assisted with the
repair of Charlie in spite of misgivings the combot might betray the renegade bots to the
GDF. S4LL1 is learning more about mechanics from Fly By as well as teaching Mack
piloting, agreeing with Mack that versatility is key to the little bot bands survival.

Previously in service to the GDF, Charlie, originally designated as CB 527, was

listed destroyed after the GDF skirmished with Neiran marauders on the disputed
planetoid, Ravellos 3. Charlie has implemented a loyalty subroutine toward Mack,
the bot responsible for restoring the combot when it was severely damaged. Charlie
chose to reject its GDF designation and instead selected a name based on the Aviation
Alphabet of the people of Earth. Most often quiet and terse, Charlie will nevertheless
offer military advice when needed and puts its considerable combat skills to effective
use in defense of Mack and the rest of its fellow bots.

Fly By had been getting by as a merc providing security for mostly organic crew and
jumped at the chance to join Macks band. Previous clients had only hired Fly By for
security, but the HOpR bot is very interested in mechanics and wants an arm conversion
to have mechanical repair capability. Mack, impressed with the amount of information
Fly By has so far acquired, supports the HOpR bots ambition. Acting as the crews
Chief Engineer, Fly By directs crew mates in mechanical repairs and uses its twin
Pulsar pistols in their defense.

Alarm (Al) - Seeker [Robot]

Captured and deactivated by the crew of the GDF patrol ship, Advocate, Als Mekkus
designation was Seeker Unit 947. It was reactivated by Mack with S4LL1s assistance.
While Al retains its Mekkus ident, it has so far chosen to remain with Mack and the
other renegade robots. It has shown no evidence of violent programming, but is instead
accoutered with sophisticated scanning, infrared equipment, and is capable of various
intelligence gathering techniques. Al aids the renegades in avoiding encounters with
authorities or personnel who may wish to return them to servitude.
