Topic: Global Warming

1. Description of the Project
Student profile: B2 University students. All of the students are Mexican and they are
studying careers related to environmental issues.

Background: The students are really into this topic since their careers is based on
environment.

2. Objective
The main aim of this project is to create a useful series of Podcast by exploiting students
abilities and to reinforce fluency, pronunciation and the ability to discuss and comment
a real world problem.

3. The driving question

What is global warming? What are the consequences (locally and globally)? How does
global warming affect us directly or indirectly? What can we do to reduce global
warming?

4. Procedure
Guidelines about the Format
Length: 4 5 minutes each episode
Voices: one voice per episode
Use of music: if needed

Class activites:
Ss will decide on a topic to work with.
Ss and teacher will search and organize information.
Ss will decide on the information thy will present in each episode.
Ss will install Audacity and create an Audioboom account.
