It is a pleasure to be writing this letter of recommendation for Sierra Richardson. As Sierras U.S
History and Philosophy teacher and Europe Trip Leader, I have continually been impressed with her
exceptional quality of work as a student and outstanding character as a person. In addition to her
academic success, Sierra has been a part of the worship team at her churchs youth group, will be
working as a camp counselor at a Christian summer camp, and was the founder and President of
Buckinghams first Photography club

Buckingham Charter Magnet High School is a small college prep school with very high expectations.
As a social studies teacher at this school, I strive to have our students not only master the content but
come to their own reasoned conclusions about historical and current events. In this very competitive
atmosphere, Sierra has continued to exceed expectations in a variety of areas.

Ms. Richardson does not merely complete assigned work in order to receive a grade, but rather
synthesizes new information in a broader understanding of the subject. Her eloquent style and natural
ability to articulately express herself through her writing is demonstrated in every assignment that she
turns in. Her work consistently shows not only completion but higher level critical thinking skills.

Sierra has a great rapport with her classmates and the staff of the school. She collaborates with other
students with an open mind during group work and meaningfully contributes to class discussions. She
treats everyone with kindness and respect while firmly voicing her opinions. Ms. Richardson is the type
of student who will accomplish whatever she sets her mind to and has my highest recommendation to
her post-secondary pursuits.
