able to work with Taylor on her practicum with the Sign Language
Interpretation program at Douglas College in May of 2017. Taylor attended
several assignments with me in a variety of interpreting settings from small
meetings to medical appointments.

Taylor was an enthusiastic member of the interpreting team. She arrived

early for each appointment having gone over any materials given to her to
prepare for the assignment and armed with any clarifying or follow up
questions. Taylor received positive feedback from many of the Deaf clients
we worked with as well as from other professional interpreters, all of whom
were impressed with the work she was producing.

I found Taylor to have an especial knack for interpreting into English, which
is not something I have seen from a lot of student interpreters over the years.
She is a very conscientious practitioner who will be an asset to our
interpreting community in the years to come. I look forward to working with
