The Anononian Militia

(Anononian Defence Force)

Introduction
The Anononian Defence Force (as it will be referred to through the rest of the
document) is a volunteer organisation designed to provide an effective and efficient
emergency services package to the population of Anononia. It is designed to cover all
aspects of the emergency services so well known around the world and used in
virtually every country. The ADF is made up of five sections each one specializing in
a specific key area although all with the knowledge and training to assist the other
sections when needed.

The idea of the ADF is not to produce a strict military or police presence on Anononia
but instead to allow a group of Anononian citizens to be trained in various skills to aid
in situations where specific knowledge is required such as medical emergencies,
disaster relief or dealing with law breakers. Then to stop these skills from being
forgotten we look to supply monthly training sessions to not only practice the skills
the ADF recruits already know but also expand on their existing knowledge by having
different instructors and civilians come in to teach certain skills which many of the
population of Anononia may not know.

This not only allows Anononia to have a well-trained militia at its service but it also
allows skills that may usually be lost or forgotten over time to be remembered and
passed down to younger generations.

Training and Instruction

Different from many emergency services and military/police services the ADF aim to
train its recruits within an easy going, friendly stress free environment. ADF lessons
are to be based around the E.D.I.P lesson plan, the instructor will Explain the content
of the lesson and a briefly describe how it is done. He or she will then Demonstrate
the content of the lesson so that the class can view what is going on. The class will
then have the chance to Imitate the instructor and try and copy his or her
demonstration. Then finally they have the chance to Practice and confirm with other
students to make sure that they all understand. The lesson is then recollected into their
original position and the instructor will confirm that the lesson has been properly
learned and do a small test to make sure that every pupil understands. If one particular
student does not understand then he may be contacted after the lesson for further
training and to reduce embarrassment in front of other pupils.
Each section must have a different training program due to the different sections
requiring a variation of skills although to make every section work together
seamlessly the basic training program (1 week) is completed with all of the ADF
sections together. This not only allows everyone to become acquainted with members
