Applications in the prescribed format are invited for recruitment to the following
teaching posts in the University. The application form duly filled-in, score card and
application fee in the form of Demand Draft payable to the Comptroller, SKNAU,
Jobner (Rajasthan)-303329 should reach the Registrar, Sri Karan Narendra
Agriculture University, Jobner- Jaipur (Rajasthan)-303329, on or before
22nd May, 2017 up to 5.00 P.M., failing which the same will not be considered.

Qualifications for the Various Teaching posts

(A) ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR ( 37400-67000+ AGP9000)

i. Doctoral degree in concerned /relevant subject /discipline.


ii. Minimum 8 years experience as Assistant Professor or in an equivalent
position, recruited in the pay-band 3 of 15600-39100. (Excluding the
period spent in obtaining the Ph.D. degree during service, subject to
maximum of three years) in Research/ Extension Education/ Teaching.
iii. Evidence of contribution to Research/Teaching/Extension Education as
supported by published work in referred journals/Innovations with a
minimum of 5 publications as books and /or research/policy papers.
iv. Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses
and technology mediated teaching/learning process, having guided M.Sc and
Ph.D. students.
v. A minimum score as stipulated in Academic Performance Indicator (API)
based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) set out by the
University.

(B) SENIOR SCIENTIST & HEAD ( 37400-67000+ AGP9000)


Essential

i. Ph.D. in relevant field of Agriculture/Horticulture/Animal Science including


relevant basic sciences.
ii. Minimum 8 years experience in Teaching/Research/Extension education
(excluding the 3 years period spent for Ph.D. during inservice) as Scientist
/Lecturer/ Extension Specialist/ Asstt. Professor or equivalent in pay band of
15600-39100 with AGP 5400/6000/7000/8000 with published work, (5
publications as books and/or policy papers/innovations and impact in referred
journals).
iii. For Engineering discipline, Ph.D. in relevant subject with 6 years experience
as Scientist/ Lecturer/Asstt. Professor or equivalent with above pay band and
grade pay, having contribution to teaching/research/ extension education
OR
Masters degree in relevant subject with 10 years experience as Scientist/
Extension specialist or equivalent in above pay band and grade pay.
iv. A minimum score as stipulated in API based PBAS set out by the University.
Desirable
Specialization in implementing extension education programmes.
Age: There will be no upper age limit for in-service candidates of SKNAU,
Jobner. However, the fresh candidate must not have attained the age of 47
years on the closing date for receipt of application.

(C) ASSISTANT PROFESSOR( 15600-39100+AGP6000)


Essential
i. A minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever a
grading system is followed) will be required at the Master's level degree in
the relevant subject from the recognized University. A relaxation of 5% will
be provided (from 55% to 50%) in the marks, at the Master's level for SC/ST
category candidates.
ii. One publication in NAAS rated referred journal.
iii. Candidates must have cleared the eligibility test (NET) for Assistant
Professor(s) and equivalent position, conducted by ASRB/U.G.C./C.S.I.R. or
similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
iv. Essentiality of NET can be waived off for the candidates holding Ph.D.
degree provided it has been done with course work as prescribed by the UGC
Regulations, 2009 and as amended by the ICAR/UGC from time to time (and
also as per ICAR letter No. 23(46)/2010-EQR (Edn.) dated 26th December,
2011, issued by ADG (EQR), and the candidate has at least two full length
publications having a NAAS rating not less than 4 on the last date of
submission of application.
v. Further, the award of degrees to candidates registered for the M. Phil /Ph.D.
programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the
then existing Ordinances/ By laws/ Regulations of the Institution awarding
the degrees and the Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement
of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and
appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities /
Colleges / Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions: -
(a) Ph.D. degree of the candidate awarded in regular mode only;
(b) Evaluation of the Ph.D. thesis by at least two external examiners;
(c) Candidate had published two research papers out of which at least one in a
refereed journal from his/her Ph.D. work;
(d) The candidate had presented two papers in seminars/conferences based on
his/her Ph.D. work;
(e) Open Ph.D. viva-voce of the candidate had been conducted.
(a) to (e) as above are to be certified by the Vice- Chancellor/ Pro-Vice-
Chancellor/Dean (Academic Affairs)/Dean (University Instructions)/
Director (Resident Instructions).
vi. NET shall not be required for such Masters Programme in discipline for
which NET is not conducted.
vii. A minimum score as stipulated in Academic Performance Indicator (API)
based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) set out by the
University.

Desirable: Ph.D. in the relevant subject

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (AGRIL ENGINEERING)


( 15600-39100+AGP6000)
i. First class degree at Bachelors or Masters level in the appropriate branch of
Engineering/ Technology. Candidates with Masters degree will be preferred.
ii. A minimum score as stipulated in API based PBAS set out by the University.

(D) SUBJECT MATTER SPECIALIST( 15600-39100+ AGP


5400)
i. A Consistently good academic record with at least 55 % marks or equivalent
grade point at the Master's level degree in the related subject from the
recognized University. A relaxation of 5% marks will be provided (from 55 to
50%) at the Masters level for SC/ST category candidates.
ii. A minimum score as stipulated in API based PBAS set out by the University.
Age: There will be no upper age limit for in-service candidates of SKNAU,
Jobner.However, the fresh candidate must not have attained the age of 35 years
on closing date for receipt of application.
(E)TECHNICAL OFFICER/ASSISTANT PROFESSOR ( 15600-
39100+AGP 6000)
Essential qualification
i. A minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever a
grading system is followed) will be required at the Master's level degree in
Agro-Meteorology/Meteorology/ Agriculture (Priority may be given to the
subject related to Agronomy/Soil Science/ Entomology/ Plant Pathology/
Horticulture/Animal husbandry)/ Geophysics subject from the recognized
University in the order of priority with knowledge in computer applications.
A relaxation of 5% will be provided (from 55% to 50%) in the marks, at the
Master's level for SC/ST category candidates.
ii. One publication in NAAS rated referred journal.
iii. Candidates must have cleared the eligibility test (NET) for Assistant
Professor(s) and equivalent position, conducted by ASRB/U.G.C./C.S.I.R. or
similar test accredited by the UGC.
iv. Essentiality of NET can be waived off for the candidates holding Ph.D.

(E) ASSISTANT LIBRARIAN ( 15600-39100 +AGP 6000)


i. Masters degree in Library Science or Information
science/Documentation science or equivalent degree with 55% marks
or equivalent grade. A relaxation of 5% will be provided (from 55% to
50%) in the marks, at the Master's level for SC/ST category candidates.
ii. Qualifying National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or any
agency approved by UGC.
iii. Essentiality of NET can be waived off for the candidates holding Ph.D.
degree provided it has been done with course work as prescribed by the
UGC Regulations, 2009 and as amended by the ICAR/UGC from time
to time (and also as per ICAR letter No. 23(46)/2010-EQR (Edn.) dated
26th December, 2011, issued by ADG (EQR)), and the candidate has at
least two full length publications having a NAAS rating not less than 4
on the last date of submission of application.
iv. Further, the award of degrees to candidates registered for the M. Phil

Vice-Chancellor/Dean (Academic Affairs)/Dean (University
Instructions)/ Director (Resident Instructions).
(v) A minimum score as stipulated in API based PBAS as set out by the
university.

(F) ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, PHYSICAL EDUCATION


( 15600-39100+AGP 6000)

i. A Master's Degree in Physical Education OR Master's Degree in Sports


Science with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point
scale wherever grading system is followed) with a consistently good
academic record.
ii. Record of having represented by University / College at the inter-
university / inter-collegiate competitions or the state and / or national
championships.
iii. Qualifying in the national level test conducted for the purpose by the
UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.
iv. However, candidates, who are, or have been awarded Ph.D. Degree in
accordance with University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards
& Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree), Regulations 2009, and as
amended from time to time shall be exempted from the requirement of
the minimum eligibility condition of NET / SLET / SET for
recruitment and appointment of University Assistant Director of
Physical Education.
v. Passed the physical fitness test conducted in accordance with UGC
Regulations.
vi. Score as stipulated in API based PBAS as set out by the university.
General Instructions
1. Number of post (s) can be decreased or increased maintaining roster system.
2. The application fee is 1000/- for all above posts. For SC/ST candidates the
application fee would be reduced to 50%.
3. The application form in MS Word format should be downloaded from the
University website (www.sknau.ac.in) and only the typed copies of the
application (In Times New Romans script & font size 12) should be
submitted.
4. Applications and score card received after the last date or incomplete forms
will be rejected without making any further reference and no fee shall be
refunded. University shall not be responsible for any delay.
5. Reservation shall be provided to SC/ST/OBC candidates as per the Rajasthan
Teachers and officers (Selection for the appointment) act, 1974 and as
amended from time to time and as per reservation policy of Government of
Rajasthan, for the bonafide residents of Rajasthan only. The candidates
belonging to OBC must submit their caste certificate issued recently (Not
before six months from the date of interview) for the purpose of creamy layer.
6. The reservation to female candidates including widows and divorced shall be
provided as per reservation policy of Government of Rajasthan, for the
bonafide residents of Rajasthan vide Government of Rajasthan order No.
3(49)Krishi/Group-3/2016 dated 17.3.2017
7. The reservation to Specially Abled (P.H.) candidates shall be provided as per
Government of Rajasthan rules as amended from time to time.
8. Reservation to SBC category will be provided as per the orders of Honble
Supreme Court of India and Government of Rajasthan as on date of
interview.
9. The University reserves the right to fill or not to fill or to increase or decrease
the number of post(s) so advertised.
10.Staff appointed through this advertisement can be posted at any unit of the
University.
11.The candidates desiring to apply for more than one posts must submit
separate application for each post.
12.Age relaxation will be provided to SC/ST/OBC/PH/Women candidates for
the post of Subject Matter Specialist (SMS) & Programme Coordinator (PC)
as per the policy of Government of Rajasthan issued and amended from time
to time.

13.In case the applications received in response to this advertisement is large in


number and it is not convenient or possible for the university to interview all
the candidates, the university may restrict the number of candidates based on
academic achievement and experience in the relevant field by screening of
applications.
14.A relaxation of 5% (55 to 50%) marks will be provided in the marks at the
Masters level for SC/ST categories candidates.
15.Pension and other allowances will be admissible to selected candidates as per
financial rules of the University modified from time to time.
16.For the employees appointed on or after 1.1.2004 the new contributory
Pension Scheme and all other rules as amended by the Government of
Rajasthan from time to time(F.13(1) Finance/Rules/2003 dated 06.05.2004)
shall be applicable
17.Any candidate joining the University will be placed on probation period for
two years from the date of joining. During the probation, the selected
candidate will be paid fixed emoluments permissible as per GOR notification
No.F.1(2)FD/Rules/2006 dated 13.03.2006 ; F.12(6)FD/(Rules)/5 dated
13.03.2006 and F.14(1)FD/Rules/2013 dated 8th June,2015 and will be placed
on regular pay scale after completion of the probation period satisfactorily.
An existing employee already in regular service shall be governed by the
existing service rules of the university/GoR.
18.No candidate shall be eligible for the appointment to the service who has
more than two children on or after 1.6.2002 (as per Govt.of Rajasthan rules as
amended from time to time).
(I) Provided that the candidates having more than two children shall not be
disqualified for appointment so long as the number of children he/she has
on 1st June, 2002, does not increase.
(II)Provided further that where a candidate has only one child from earlier
delivery but more than one child are born out of single subsequent
delivery, the children so born shall be deemed to be one entity while
counting the total number of children.
19. The Envelope containing application form should be super scribed with
APPLICATION FORM FOR THE POST__________________________
20. The candidates are advised to down load the Score Card and application
form on the University website (www.sknau.ac.in).
21.The candidates must intimate to the Registrar, SKNAU, Jobner in case there
is any change in his/her correspondence or permanent address after the
submission of the application and also intimate incase his/her mobile
numbers/email ID are changed.
22.The plan/Scheme posts are co-terminus with the Plan/Scheme. The posts of
plan (75 and 100 % ICAR) will be filled only upto the project period and
after completion of the project, selected person will be immediately
discontinued from the university services without any notice period. He will
not be adjusted in any other project and /or transferred.
23. The candidates are required to enclose attested photocopies of all documents
related to qualification they possess and proof of other related information. It
is compulsory to write the enclosure number related to photocopies attached
of documents/qualifications, otherwise the application form will be treated as
incomplete and rejected without any information. Proof of documents/
qualifications received after due date will not be accepted.
24.In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection which may be
detected at any stage even after the issue of appointment letter, the university
reserves the right to modify/withdraw/cancel any communication made to the
candidates.
25.All matters related to recruitment shall be subject to jurisdiction of Rajasthan
High Court, Jaipur.
26.Only those candidates will be considered for interview who fulfills eligibility
criteria for the post upto the last date of submission of application. Any
qualification, degree, award, publication, etc achieved after the last date of
application will not be considered.

28. The candidates who are already in employment should route their application
