Thunder Bay Late this afternoon the Thunder Bay Catholic Occasional (Supply)
Teachers voted to accept the 2014-17 local tentative agreement reached on May 9 th
with the Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board.

It has been a long process and this is the very last teacher contract to be settled in the
province. We are pleased to have finally reached an agreement on local terms for our
2014 - 2017 collective agreement with the school board. says Aldo Grillo, President of
the OECTA Thunder Bay Occasional Teachers Local.

On another positive note the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association and the
Ontario Catholic School Trustees Association and the Ministry of Education have agreed
on a two year extension to the 2014 - 2017 agreement taking this collective agreement
with amendments through to August 31, 2019.

The Thunder Bay Elementary Unit of OECTA represents approximately 350 members
who work in the Catholic elementary and secondary schools in the City of Thunder Bay.
